16.01.2022 The Reserve Bank of Australia has today decided to leave the official cash rate unchanged at 2.00%. This approach was widely anticipated by financial markets as the Reserve Bank continues to assess the impact of February and May rate cuts, regulator initiated tightening of the investment housing market and local and international stock market uncertainty. Even though the cash rate has remained unchanged, lenders are making daily changes to lending rates so it's still wise for us to talk if we haven't spoken in a while to ensure you're still in the right finance solution.

16.01.2022 The Reserve Bank of Australia has today announced the outcome of its board meeting and it has decreased the cash rate by 25 basis points. The official cash rate is now 2.0%. In taking this decision it appears the Reserve Bank has reacted to growing concerns around the Australian dollar, modest economic growth and lower CPI figures. This decrease is likely to spark a fresh round of competition amongst lenders so it is a great time to borrow or review your current finance arra...ngements. 15.01.2022 Some very interesting research released today - do you know all the benefits of using a broker? Do your friends? Only 27% of aspiring home owners said they were "likely" to use a broker rather than approach a lender directly, and of those, 47% expected to pay a fee for that service. 35% said they just had not considered using a broker at all, and 27% thought they would get a better deal going directly to a lender.... FACT: Your lender is actually not allowed to offer you anything better than you can get from a broker, and if you approach them directly, it's clear you haven't got the benefit of comparing what they offer you to a wide range of other options, so they're far less likely to offer you the best deal. This is especially true if you are an existing client - banks offer different (and much more competitive) rates to new customers vs what they will offer to existing customers. FACT: We don't charge a fee for our service. We get paid when your loan settles, by the lender, regardless of who that lender is. We work for you, but get paid by someone else! When else do you get to take advantage of personal service at no cost to you? FACT: We can also assist you long after your loan settles - conditions in the finance world are constantly changing and the loan that suited you and your circumstances a year ago may not be the best option for you now. Gone are the days when you signed up for a 30 year mortgage and just kept paying until it was gone.
