21.01.2022 Save this recipe! Banana Protein Hotcakes We know that when it comes to maintaining a good health regimen, food and nutrition play just as an important role as exercise does. ... But contrary to popular belief, we don’t believe that fitness is all about chicken and broccoli. So what if we told you there was a way you can have your [hot]cakes and eat them too? Ingredients: 1 scoop Vanilla/Banana whey, vegan or casein protein (dependent on your protein intake, you can throw in more scoops) 2 large eggs 3 tbsp flour (plain or gluten-free) 1 tsp vanilla extract 1 banana (sliced) 2 tsp honey or maple syrup Method: 1. Blend protein, eggs and flour until smooth 2. Heat a nonstick fry pan over moderate heat and cook 2 tablespoons of mixture per pancake 3. Cook for 1-2 minutes or until golden brown 4. Flip and cook the other side 5. Divide between 2 plates and top with honey

19.01.2022 Chicken breast can often be boring, so why not make it tasty to fit into your macros and enhance your goals! With a high protein to calorie ratio, you can ensure you're maintaining an anabolic state, whether your goal is to lose body fat or build lean muscle. What you need:... 1-3/4 lbs boneless, skinless chicken breasts 6 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil 4 large garlic cloves, minced 1 teaspoon dried thyme 1/2 teaspoon dried oregano or herbs 1-1/4 teaspoon salt 1/2 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper 1-1/2 teaspoons lemon zest, from one lemon How to make it: 1. One at a time, place the chicken breasts in a 1-gallon zip-lock bag; using a meat mallet, pound to an even -inch thickness. 2. Mix all of the ingredients except for the chicken together in a 1-gallon zip-lock bag (go ahead and use the same one you used for pounding if it is still in good shape). 3. Add the chicken breasts to the bag and massage the marinade into the meat until evenly coated. Seal the bag and place in a bowl in the refrigerator (the bowl protects against leakage); let the chicken marinate for at least 4 hours or overnight. See more

09.01.2022 What do you do when dinner comes around and you need a healthy, yet, satisfying meal to end your day. What better than a nutritious butter chicken. High in protein, healthy fats and quality carbs, it’s exactly what you’ll need to fuel those muscles for recovery. What you’ll need:... 1 tbs unsalted butter 500g chicken thigh (roughly chopped) 1 onion (finely sliced) 1 large garlic clove (crushed) 2 tsp ginger (freshly grated) 1 tsp cumin 2 tsp garam masala 1/2 tsp cardamom 1 tbs coriander (finely chopped) 1 tin canned diced tomato 3/4 cup Massel Chicken Style Liquid Stock 1/2 cup low-fat Greek yoghurt 1/4 cup low-fat thickened cream 2 cups steamed rice coriander leaves (to garnish) How to do it: Heat a large non-stick frying pan on medium and add half the butter. Add chicken and onion and brown for a couple of minutes. Remove mixture from the pan and set aside. Reduce heat to low and add remaining butter as well as the garlic, ginger, cumin, garam marsala, cardamom and coriander. Cook for 1-2 minutes before returning chicken to the pan, along with the tomatoes and chicken stock. Increase the heat and bring to the boil. Reduce heat and simmer for 10 minutes before adding yoghurt and cream. Heat through and serve on rice garnished with coriander leaves.
