25.01.2022 Following advice from the Department of Health recommending that anyone involved in food production should wear masks, we put a call out to the wonderful North ...West Community and within a week, the team were all masked up. A massive Thank You to Lifeway Baptist Church Devonport for leading the response and rallying the community. One person sewed 12 masks in 24 hours and another had masks sent up from Launceston. Railton Pharmacy also generously contributed to the cause. This has allowed our team to continue to produce meals safely to support vulnerable Tasmanians. Last week 10'758 serves of nutritious ready to eat meals were produced by our kitchen team and village of dedicated volunteers. #community #workingtogether #localheroes #TassieRocks See more

23.01.2022 Solstice Splash #4! On the shortest day of the year, many people look at nature and celebrate the sun and the light. I'll admit that creation is awesome but the CREATOR is even better! We celebrate the Son - the light of the world that overcame the darkness.

22.01.2022 There has been the most beautiful sense of peace during our storytelling and art sessions. A few of the adults have talked about it. But one of our five-year-old participants went over to the stage and represented it through play. First, she drew a meditation circle with the chalk. ... Then using the fabric and blocks, made a river and the most beautiful blue lake. 19.01.2022 This week we are exploring worship in iso. Here are some good tips from the Mount St Joseph Abbey, a Cistercian monastery in Ireland.: We Cistercians have been self isolating for centuries. For those of you who are self-isolating, here are four concrete tips that have served our Order well for nearly a thousand years 1) Write down a weekly schedule. It needn’t be too complex or specific. In fact, it’s important that you don’t regiment yourself so much that you become like a... soldier. But having a basic schedule will structure your week and give you the time and freedom to live a productive life. You may want to colour-code the entries according to whether they are daily, weekly or monthly occurrences. 2) Add at least two structured daily prayer sessions to this. They needn’t be for more than ten minutes. Set aside a quiet place, and a good time, and make this your chosen meeting place with God. 3) Read! We may have a wonderful library at the Abbey but everyone can have access to books if they want. Many online stores are still operating. 4) Try to live in the present moment. One of the thoughts that short-circuits self isolation is the ‘What-to-do-next’ thought. It makes you restless, unable to engage with staying in one place. Your weekly schedule is a good start, here. And books will give you a mental ‘space’ to lose yourself in. See more

18.01.2022 As a teaser to our new series we are starting this week here is a quote from Jeremy Caris: "Church speaks of a place where people gather and it influences their identity. Ekklesia speaks of a people who gather in a place to influence it out of their identity." See you on Sunday to change the world through being changed :)

17.01.2022 Who will be the first person to call and invite three people to worship this Sunday?

06.01.2022 What a blessing it was to come together once again in worship. It was incredibly encouraging to hear how God has been moving and working while we have been unable to gather. My Father is always at his work to this very day, and I too am working. - Jesus Here is the artwork Michael created during our service. Hie notes are bellow.

05.01.2022 While the BBC image is the closest to what a typical first-century Galilean man looked like. there is something powerful in each of these depictions of Jesus. Depicting Jesus with our own face can be both problematic and also incredibly powerful.

04.01.2022 The Christian Leaders in Devonport are committed to making God’s heart for humanity real by serving together. Live generously and graciously toward others, the... way God lives toward you. Matthew 5:48b (The Message) The Devonport Churches are committed to sharing the message of the love of Jesus. We believe that Jesus is a God of love, a God of healing, a God of freedom, release and restoration. There are many testimonies across our Devonport Churches of lives being radically transformed. The Devonport Churches believe that God heals through many forms, sometimes directly, and sometimes through the support and intervention of health professionals. As the Devonport Churches, we do not recommend that any person should cease prescribed medication or advise others to cease prescribed medication or withdraw from professional support or counselling, without first seeking the advice of their doctor and/or health professional. The Devonport Churches stand united in the mission of Jesus - to share the gospel message to all people, seeing them healed and set free. The method is based on guidelines outlined in the Bible, through relationship, and primarily through a heart of love and compassion. We will continue to offer that love and compassion, regardless of people’s response. We encourage all believers of Christ to join us in this mission. The Devonport Christian Leaders have agreed on this Statement together. The Devonport Churches are represented as follows: C3 Church Devonport Catholic Church, Mersey Leven Catholic Parish Devonport Anglican Church Devonport Church of Christ Devonport & Don Presbyterian Church Dreambuilders Devonport Gateway Church Devonport Hope Christian Church Lifeway Baptist Church Devonport Oldaker Christian Church Pathway to Life Church The Salvation Army Devonport For inquiries or questions, please email [email protected]
