25.01.2022 Great conversation starters not just for parents & children but the family. Why not try writing them all down on individual pieces of paper & put it in a small jar. Then at the dinner table get someone (rotate who will pick one each day) to pick one & share together as a family.

21.01.2022 We have all faced loss of various proportions & at various times. But do we give ourselves permission to grieve.

20.01.2022 Pandemic (Lynn Ungar 11.03.2020) What if you thought of it As the Jews consider the Sabbath The most sacred of times?... Cease from travel. Cease from buying and selling. Give up, just for now, On trying to make the world Different than it is. Sing. Pray. Touch only those To whom you commit your life. Centre down. And when your body has become still Reach out with your heart. Know that we are connected In ways that are terrifying and beautiful. (you could hardly deny it now.) Know that our lives are in one anothers hands. (Surely that has become clear.) Do not reach out your hands. Reach out your heart. Reach out your words. Reach out all the tendrils Of compassion that move, invisibly, Where we cannot touch. Promise this world your love For better or worse, In sickness and in health, So long as we all shall live.

13.01.2022 As we've neared the end of the year, I've been thinking a lot about closing doors. The doors on the year are being closed, with schools finishing and work part...ies to mark the end of the year being had (in some Covid-safe form or another!). For some people the absence of those celebrations mark the grief felt over premature endings (there have been a lot of those this year). Regardless of where you find yourself at the end of this year, take a moment to reflect on what doors are closing. Perhaps some need to be purposefully closed. Maybe there is unfinished business that needs to be attended to. Allow space for any emotions that arise. There may be grief, peace, fear, anticipation, even excitement as you look to what's ahead. Finish this year well, so the new year and what it holds may be entered into unhindered.

12.01.2022 There are many experiences and events in our lives that can leave us feeling unworthy. Yet, our worth is not defined by these circumstances, events or experiences. Once we place value on our experiences or events above our worth, we can tend to lose focus. Often overlooking our worth and become focused on what we do rather than who we are. Would you say you are a workaholic perfectionist... strive to control everything continually busy Yet end up feeling unproductive much of the time. The above are often symptoms of our behavior when we strive to overcome hurt, pain loss etc Do you live with guilt restlessness loneliness lack self-control It is possible that the focus has shifted from your worth to trying to assess your value? $5 bill is a $5 bill that's it's worth, no matter where it has been or what it has been through. But what we purchase with it is dependent on the value of the item. The item price might vary depending where we shop. You are not an item. You have immense worth. Contact us if you would like to work on any of the above symptoms or feelings.

04.01.2022 Our emotional health is an important component of our health. Most of the time it our emotions that drive us. The question is why? Why are we more inclined to listen to our emotions rather than our thoughts? Why are we most often driven by how we feel rather than what we know? I encourage you pay attention to your emotions. Don't ignore them. They serve a purpose. Take time to understand why you feel the way you do. Take a moment to consider what emotion (anger, joy or sadn...ess) is driving you & why?
