The deeper meaning and intentions behind yoga however can get lost in a rush to get fit or to to get through to the next part of the day. The humble sun salutation is a great example of this loss of meaning, often referred to as a "warm-up". Yoga which is mechanical with no mindfulness, awareness of breath and intelligent movement is not really yoga. Under these circumstances it is only exercise, and great benefits are lost

18.01.2022 I am not anti-doctors or anti-pharmaceuticals but I am pro-health and pro-truth. Some pharmaceuticals are necessary, some medical treatments are necessary. Are all of them necessary all of the time? No. Sometimes we wish that the medicine we have available to us at the moment was more advanced. We suffer when we ourselves are ill or when we watch our loved ones suffer with illness and the consequences of it. Sometimes some of the consequences are not necessary. Sometimes the treatment we use to make us better only makes us worse in the long run. The only way for us to advance from where we are now in medicine is to let the truth come out and to adapt and adopt to a new way of being for the health of ourselves and the ones we love. Truth is more important than money and industry. Truth is the only way we can move forward in medicine..

Not only counselling & CBT, which are great, but there are also natural solutions such as herbs which have in most cases very few if any side effects and have been demonstrated to be just as effective if not more effective than pharmaceutical drugs. We need to open our minds to a new system, because the current one is far from good enough

14.01.2022 Sometimes the only thing we can do with suffering is let ourselves feel it. It is natural to try to avoid pain, we are all doing that in some way. It is courageous and often difficult to consciously decide to sit with pain, this is not usually how we have conditioned ourselves. If we can find a way to allow the experience however, through mindful awareness, it doesnt get stuck in our physical body and we dont have to keep fearing and suppressing it. When we do this we dont have to relive or dwell in pain, rather we allow it and have an attitude of acceptance and non-judgement to what is present in this moment. This can be the pathway to the true freedom we have been searching for x

It is okay to think about things differently to others, to want different things in your life, to feel differently and to see the world in a way that to the vast majority of others seems unusual. In fact, it is more than okay, it is a beautiful thing. Please dont shy away from who you really are. It took ...me such a long time to feel comfortable and confident being who I really am, to find my voice in times when others could not understand. This confidence can require effort to maintain, especially in times when you are surrounded by people who judge you for not experiencing the world the way they do. Do not let this deter you, committing to accept yourself in all your forms is your true path to happiness and is something you will truly not regret. 10.01.2022 These techniques can help to keep us all present and aware and are wonderful lifelong practices. If you find seated meditation difficult or would like to begin meditation and dont know where to start then these types of meditations are definitely for you. They are especially useful if you find that you are always in your mind, have racing thoughts, have poor attention span or foggy brain. Adopting just one or two of these practices every day (or all if you like!) can change your quality of life dramatically

02.01.2022 It is no secret I am a big proponent of meditation, it is something I find difficult not to recommend in every appointment that I do! It has benefited me so much in my life and I know it would benefit you too. If you feel that you need to be good at it then you are missing the purpose of it. You do not need to clear your mind of your thoughts in order to meditate. It can be daunting if you have never tried it, and there are so many techniques and traditions that it may feel ...a little overwhelming. A simple place to start is sitting on a cushion or chair, with an upright spine, and noticing your breath. Try it for 10 minutes every day at first and see how you feel. Every time your mind wanders simply notice where it has wandered to (without judgement!) and then bring your awareness back to your breath. I have never heard anyone say "I regret that time I spent meditating"! Give yourself a nurturing gift today and begin a practice, you might even find it changes your life :) xx
