22.01.2022 It will be a month tomorrow since our blood drive in October. How time flies! For those who wanted to donate and didn’t get a chance, have no fear! It is super easy to get involved. Just download the blood bank app and book your next appointment. Below you will see a photo of Amos. Amos use to attend Lighthouse with his family when they lived in Rockhampton many years ago. ... Just last week Amos gave for the 75th time!!! How amazing is that! We would like to say congratulations to Amos for your amazing acheivment and dedication to giving blood.

20.01.2022 Praise God for another beautiful day today! We are living in a time that brings many uncertainties. Sometimes when there are questions left unanswered, we as humans struggle to get on with our day to day lives with no knowledge of what tomorrow brings. Yes, life can be tough but when we lean on God and trust in Him wholeheartedly we do not need to know all the answers. The only thing we need to know is that God has got us, He loves us and has not forsaken us. God uses t...he hearts and minds of His children to show love towards others. Lighthouse Love has been showing love to our community these past few weeks with care packages. Given to those who might need a little help during these stormy days. We want to continue to love and support our community as much as we can but we need your help. If you know anyone who is struggling, please let us know. Covid-19 has taken jobs from some, loved ones from others and a toll on everyone, but it does not have to affect our heart and spirit. As long as we continue to be faithful, remain caring, loving and keep kindness in our day to day lives, we will get through this together. Let us continue to look out for opportunities to show Christ through us. Keep God close and your heart kind. -LL

18.01.2022 Thank you Lighthouse volunteers, David and Lyn from Gelatissimo, dingles coffee and Rockhampton Hospital for allowing us to share some Christmas cheer, enjoy some wonderful coffee and gelato together and sing carols this Christmas .

17.01.2022 Please keep Pastor Abraham and his family in your prays this week. We pray for a speedy recovery for him and thank God for the blessing that he is to his ministry along side our missionaries the Pinero’s. PastorJeromy mentions that Pastor Abraham was able to be a witness to another two men who were also put in jail. After being wrongfully arrested and beaten, to have the energy and courage to continue to be a man for God is inspiring.

15.01.2022 How did you show your love and respect for our soldiers past and present this ANZAC Day? Whether it was more of a silent thanks or driveway art display be sure to take some time out of your day to appreciate the freedoms and life we get to enjoy because of the sacrifices that were made. This special display is from one of our families at Lighthouse Baptist church and school. Thank you for your beautiful contribution. ... At the going down of the sun and in the morning We will remember them.

10.01.2022 Happy Birthday Jesus Hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas filled with laughter and love. A huge shoutout to everyone who helped lift spirits by lifting their voices at the base hospital this afternoon. We sang carols to three wards (Paliative, Surgical and Paediatrics) along side the amazing crew at Gelatissimo. ... Thank you to David and Lynn from Gelatissimo for your beautiful and charitable nature. Being able to give back to our community and show love through singing would not be the same without a delicious treat to go with. Thank you Jimmy for sharing your passion and love for coffee with everyone! Staff and carollers alike Thank you to the very talented Isaac and Lyn on Violin. Absolutely angelic! Thank you Mr West for bringing your musical gift on the mandolin along this afternoon. And of course Josh Bobadilla keeping us all in tune and on time with his guitar playing. The list could go on but I’ll cut it there and leave it with, Thank you all!

03.01.2022 Our local firefighters are absolute heroes and have recently been working around the clock to keep our communities safe. As Lighthouse Love, we want to share the love to assist our firefighters in some practical ways. Already we have been able to assist by donating 40 snack bags filled with items such as fruit (apple as and oranges), juice, popcorn, biscuits, lollies, water and nut/oat bars. Just yesterday, they went through over 1000 snack bags, and are in need of more sup...plies. YOU can help us help these firefighters by donating items individually towards more snack bags, or assemble snack bags and bring them to the Lighthouse Love Centre/Lighthouse administration open until 4:30pm weekdays. After that contact us via messenger to organise a drop time and place. Alternatively you can donate directly to the fire fighters station by taking your donations to the Yeppoon Showgrounds. Items that you can donate include but not limited to: - Fresh milkwhich helps with soaking up the smoke which makes its way into the body! - Large Glad bags - Poppers - Powerade - Fruit - Nut bars - Tinned spaghetti - Packet of chips/popcorn - Lollies Let's show God's love in a tangible way to some heroes in our local community.
