25.01.2022 Thank you ladies for a great - super important talk! Well worth the 12mins of anyone's time. Even though the truth has been known in the medical world for the past century, the myths about the hymen still exists The myths about the hymen have lived on for centuries because they have cultural significance. They have been used as a powerful tool in the effort to control women’s sexuality in about every culture, religion and historical decade. Women are still mistrusted, shamed, harmed and in the worst cases subjected to honour killings if they don’t bleed on their wedding night. Other women are forced through degrading virginity checks simply to obtain a job, to save their reputation or to get married."

24.01.2022 Been working on these special oils, tonics and Yoni steam herbs from the rainforest of Belize over the last couple of moon cycles. Rosita Arvigo - my teacher had the privilege of working with one of the last Maya Shamans, Don Elijo Panti. He would ask the plant for permission before taking it for medicinal purposes .He believed that the act of asking and giving blessings to these plants is what made the herbs he used work to help heal so many (and why for others it didn't). I couldn't agree with him more. #arvigotherapy #mayaabdominalmassage #maya #belize #belizeanrainforest #centralamerica #rainforest #plantmedicine #herbs #massage #massageoil #tonics #yonisteam #bajos #womenshealth #holistichealth #nourish #mooncycle #fertilitycycle #shaman #blessings #natureheals #instaplant #ilovenature #nature

23.01.2022 ~World Contraception Day ~ As a Fertility Awareness Educator I'm all about making informed choices regarding our reproductive & sexual health (& our bodies). We can only do this if we're provided with all the information and options available.... I remember back in the day, the pill was the only option offered to me as a contraceptive method. After taking it for a few cycles something didn't feel quite right taking it. So I stopped and never went back on it. I wish someone had told me back then that I had options. Such as learning Fertility Awareness and charting my cycles to know when I'm fertile or not. It sure would've taken the guess work /stress out of wondering if I could potentially fall pregnant or not. I only came across this information later on in life as I was deepening my studies in women's reproductive & sexual health. I found this knowledge SO EMPOWERING that I went on to train and become a certified Fertility Awareness Educator, teaching the Symptothermal Method. Besides using the method as a natural /non hormonal form of contraception, I also teach it to those wanting to optimally time conception (especially helpful if you don't have regular cycles). There's so much more I could speak about on this topic (e.g menstrual cycle wisdom, going with your natural rhythms & real sex ed - not what most of us were taught at school!) . For those interested I'll have details on my 5 week Online Fertility Awareness Workshop starting October, real soon. Although this is my method of choice, please note there's more alternatives to the oral contraceptive pill than only the Sympothermal Method. And as highly effective as it is for birth control, and as life changing as it can be, it's not for everyone. We're all unique and have different needs at different times in our lives. Find what works best for you, and just know that you have options if you need... 20.01.2022 Nettle Tea Infusions - My magic potion . This common weed is wonderfully rich in vitamins, trace minerals & protein. It's a great source of energy that strengthens and nourishes the kidneys & adrenals, (as well as our blood, hair, nails, milk production & more). The deal is that you need a lot of it in order for it to pack a punch so I do up 2 cups of the organic dried herb in a 2 litre jar that lasts me a couple days. It does taste pretty "green" so I can imagine some may want to sweeten it with honey, but I like it just the way it is (recipe by Susun Weed) #plantmedicine #herbs #susunweed #nature #naturelover #weed #natureprovides #instaplant #nettle #stingingnettle #nourishment #naturalenergy #natureheals #holistichealth #instahealth #instaherb

15.01.2022 Sound Healing.. A cat's purr vibrates between the range of 20-140 Hz, which can have many therapeutic benefits. The obvious one is reducing stress levels but also at this vibration frequency can aid in healing wounds, joint and tendendon repair.. Apparently cat owners are at 40 less risk of heart attacks... How fascinating..... As much as I love to be a cat owner, I'm allergic to them... Apparently there's some breeds that don't cause allergic responses. Anyone own one? Recommend one? #soundhealing #vibrationalhealing #groundinginnature #grounding #catmedicine #purring #healingjourney #healing

13.01.2022 The tissues of the vagina are super porous, so why would you want to put anything toxic there? Here are the reasons to use organic cloth pads or the moon cup instead.

13.01.2022 There's something special that happens when women come together to share and support one another. I was fortunate enough to attend Lara Owen's (author of "Her Blood is Gold") workshop on Advanced Menstrual Wisdom recently. We discussed the impact of disposable menstrual products and it's devastating impact on our environment and how sustainable menstrual products are the gateway to the wisdom within our cycles. We explored what a "healthy period" is to us and created our own ...self care plan to honour our cycles. As there has been a taboo surrounding menstruation for so long, it's exciting to see that there is a shift happening, where women can once again see the blessings that come with their cycles, rather than being ashamed of it and viewing it as a curse. #redtent #menstrualwisdom #laraowen #herbloodisgold #menstrualcycle #periods #sustainability #periodpolicy #fertilitycycle #womenshealth #holistichealth #sisterhood #womanhood #womenneedtosticktogether See more

13.01.2022 Back home in the UK now and the sun is continuing to shine on. Although it was back to work this week, I still felt the magical presence of Des Moines, New Mexico in my healing space. I still see the bright sun setting behind the majestic volcano, smell the gorgeous aroma of the herbal plants and hear the calls of coyotes....I continue to feel so alive back in the big city...Looking forward to sharing what I've learnt with my clients #graceandgratitude #natureheals #healingtherapies #selfcare #spendmoretimeinnature #desmoines #newmexico #plantmedicine #sunworshipper #moonstone @a.spiralspirit #goddessrising #goddessrisingsisterhood #wingsofisis #wanderlust #exploretocreate #instatravel #passionpassport #ilovenature #respectnature #divinefeminine

12.01.2022 I stumbled across this photo the other day as I was looking for images for my newsletter to my UK clients. This beautiful ceramic planter, etched with my logo, was handmade by a client of mine. (this pic doesn't do it justice! ). She gifted me this as I left London for Sydney back in late 2018. I was meant to be back within a year.. Its almost 2 years now and I have no idea when I'll be back..... A lot has changed. I initially came home to Oz to help heal my body from mysterious symptoms (which was eventually diagnosed as rheumatoid arthritis). As my conditions improved I tried returning back to offering bodywork. But that wasn't happening. I had flare ups almost every time. It felt like I was meant to let go of thinking that was the only way I could work /be of service. It felt like something new wanted to be created. Overtime I learnt to surrender to this. To the unknown. Then slowly and surely new offerings began to emerge. That rather than being solely a practitioner that facilitates healing sessions , I instead hold space and teach others to remember and reconnect with the wisdom and power to heal, within themselves. Some of this work is coming through in my women's circles I hold (in person & online). I have visions of holding retreats where we're immersed in nature, nourishing each other and rewilding. Remembering who we truly are. For now, I'm appreciating where I am. I get to have an extended time with my loved ones. And there's also a calling to connect deeper with the medicine of this sacred land, that I am blessed to call home. #healingjourney #womenscircle #bodywork #rewilding #divinefeminine #rememberingwhoyoutrulyare #lightofre #cammeraygalcountry #appreciation #natureheals #theonlythingconstantischange

11.01.2022 Been meaning to read her book for a while now... Nice that I saw this as a reminder as there's such beauty and wisdom here..

10.01.2022 Spent the past couple of days inside this temple sitting in circle exploring women's mysteries and shamanic dimensions of pregnancy. I leave feeling so full and in gratitude to our teacher Jane Hardwicke Collings and all the beautiful women I've met. For sharing their stories, vulnerability & wisdom. Such inspirations! I'm so excited for the work that we are bringing out into the world to empower women . 09.01.2022 Next Women's Sacred Circle... Nature is my reset button . It's my # 1 go-to whenever I feel I'm needing to create a new routine. Aside from syncing up with Gaia's energy & rhythms, another way to reset is via syncing up with the lunar cycles.... The new /dark moon in particular invites us to pause, check in with ourselves and reflect upon what we'd like to call in and create, at the start of each new cycle.. My next online women's sacred circle will be around the New Moon in Scorpio on Monday 16th of November @ 8pm Sydney /9am London times. We'll be exploring themes of transformation, the wild feminine archetype & who we truly are. They'll be a guided group meditation, sound healing & intention setting /rituals. Tickets are in bio, limited spots to keep the group small & intimate. Feel free to PM any questions you have! #womenscircle #onlinewomenscircle #sacredcircle #newmoonscorpio #wildwoman #transformation #rewilding #rememberingwhoyoutrulyare #newmoonritual #newmooncircle #womensholistichealth #wombwellness

09.01.2022 Creating more harmony, balance & heart centered relationships - the theme for this Fridays women's circle. With so much going on globally this year, we're all feeling it energetically - either consciously or unconsciously. Even if we haven't been directly impacted, we still feel it on some level - we're all connected after all. Therefore it's important we create time out to reflect, sit with and embrace what we're feeling...... To hold space for each other so we can accept, let go and transform... If this speaks to you, I'm holding another online Women's Circle, this Friday 16th October @ 730-9pm. Sydney, 9.30-11am London time. This gathering falls under the New (Super) Moon in Libra (about harmony, balance, relationships, diplomacy..) We will be using the energy and themes of this New Moon to create harmony within and globally through group healing mediation, ritual & sharing. You can grab your tickets here: https://app.acuityscheduling.com/schedule.php Or you can pay by donation. Hope to see you there! #womenscircle #onlinewomenscircle #sacredcircle #newmoonlibra #newmooncircle #createbalance #holisticwomenshealth

07.01.2022 In a time when we need to be voicing our truths more than ever, this post is a worthy read <3

06.01.2022 Womb loving Made these beauties during the Fertility Awareness Intensive in Ashland. These are approx true to size clay models, with the larger one being the size in the lead up to menstruation/moon time - where it's pretty much double the size and weight. Some other quick womb facts for your Thursday afternoon:... Is held in place by ligaments with the bladder and rectum being close neighbours. It's orientation can change - where it tilts forward (anteverted) backwards (retroverted), folds (flexion) or a combination of these. Some people are born without a womb, but still have ovaries. Some people are born with a double uterus (with 2 separate cervices, and in some cases 2 vaginas) It's our creative centre - whether it be for growing and birthing a baby, idea's, projects etc.. #womb #womblove #uterus #bodyliteracy #reproductivehealth #sexualhealth #fertilityawareness #claywomb #womenshealth #knowyourbody #creativity See more

06.01.2022 Feeling excited as I pull out the books to prepare for my upcoming mini Fertility Awareness workshop in London next month! Details below (couple of spots left): Topics discussed:... Workshop 1: What is FAM? it's history and "herstory", birth control and it's effectiveness rates, the practice of using the Sympto-thermal Method of FAM, anatomy & physiology -understanding your body, cycles & natural rhythms, and the basics of learning to chart. Workshop 2: Learning the rules on how to chart in order to use it as an effective form of contraception or for conception. Space to go over any questions regarding your own cycle health and how basic charting in between the first and second workshops have been for you. Closing with some simple self care tools for optimal cycle health. Who is for? For those that are: *Interested in having a better understanding of what happens physiologically, emotionally & energetically in their bodies during their cycle. *Looking for a natural alternative to being on hormonal birth control or the IUD. *Wanting to time conception better. *Charting already but need clarification or have questions (e.g - how to understand your cervical fluid better). *Just plain curious! Dates: Saturday 22nd & Saturday 5th of August Times: 10am - 2.30pm Location: 18 Conway Street, Fitzrovia, London W1T 6BE Cost: As this is part of my graduation requirement it will at a discounted rate of 20. (Included in the price is your starter charting kit). Note: This is a 2 part series, you need to have attended the first workshop in order to attend the second one. Here's what a couple of my clients thus far have had to say about learning FAM: This session made me feel so confident in tracking my cycle and really understanding how my body works and how to understand the signals my body gives in terms of menstruation and ovulation. Out of everything I’ve done/read to learn about this, it was by far the most beneficial and most useful, giving me the most understanding. This has totally changed my life and I am more than grateful! I have learnt how to chart and how to apply FAM, but the implications and impact go way beyond that. I am more aware of my body every day, more connected to my sexuality. This has opened amazing new doors for me and also for my partner. Contact me directly if you're interested or have any questions, and feel free to pass this onto someone you feel may benefit from. #fertilityawareness #bodyliteracy #womenshealth #knowyourbody #knowledgeispower #chartingyourcycles #cyclehealth #fertility #conception #naturalcontraception #fertilityawarenessmethod #nothisisnottherhythmmethod #reproductivehealth #sexualhealth #london

05.01.2022 Preparing for tonight's online women's circle gathering - New (Super) Moon in Scorpio. Overall theme: transforming our shadow to reveal our hidden gifts ~wild woman archetype. What would your life look like if you accepted and loved every single part of yourself?... The parts in particular that you deem unlovable, unacceptable and is of no value. These parts of yourself that you hide from the world - your shadow... Under these themes and qualities of scorpio we explore integrating our shadow, in which we accept and embrace it without judgment. For when we bring our shadow aspects into our awareness we already begin to heal. We also unveil our hidden gifts and power within it. If you feel called to explore and join in sacred circle with meditation and sound healing, there are 2 tickets left. Link in the bio. #newmoonscorpio #womenscircle #onlinewomenscircle #sacredcircle #wildwoman #soundbowls #soundhealing #waterelement #divinefeminine #shadowwork #transformation #holisticwomenshealth

05.01.2022 Spent the past few days with my beloved tucked away in a cosy farmhouse up in the Blue Mountains. A little getaway to celebrate our 7th anniversary On our last day, Charlie and I drove by parts of the mountains that had been affected by the bush fires last summer. (gees it feels so long ago now, with all that has been happening globally in 2020). ... Driving through acres and acres of charred trees was a hard sight to take in. The devasting loss of nature, wildlife and the homes for so many was all coming back. At the same time, you could also see parts of the land regenerating. Burnt branches sprouting new leaves and vibrant wild flowers blooming amongst black trunks. In that moment Mother Nature reminded me of her resilience. For all the destruction (both at the hands of humans and as a part of nature) She has the ability to come back. With death comes rebirth.. She reminded me that we humans are also just as resilient. We have the strength and courage within us to meet life's hardships. Connecting with this resilience might first look like holding compassion and care for yourself. Then asking your body what does it need from you in order to feel safe and calm? Finding what resources you (nature, time spent with family & friends, laughter, moving your body, creativity etc) and absorb it into you. Remembering to stay present. It may also involve connecting with others and asking for help. And at the same time offering help and compassion to others. And then there's appreciation and gratitude. For what already does exist for you, no matter how little or hard it may seem. There's obviously many more ways to tap into our resilience, hopefully this may be enough for anyone who needed to hear this today. For those seeking ways to further resource yourself - I'll be running some more womens circles in the coming months. Alternatively I'm opening up a handful of 1:1 healing sessions as well. #resilience #weareinthistogether #bluemountains #natureheals #womenswellness #mentalhealth #holistichealth #womenscircles

04.01.2022 Ha ha, love how she talks so openly about it! ;-)

02.01.2022 Without A Bra Yes, I was in pain for my first few months without a bra. That’s the first thing almost every woman asks; Doesn’t it hurt? followed by, Maybe y...ou can live without a bra, but my tig ol’ bitties hurt without support. There are extenuating circumstances, of course. But unless you have a major weight, hypothyroid or other medical issue, it’s way more likely that you just have wimpy pecs. No judgments though. Most women start wearing support around 10-12 years old so our pectoral muscles are never given a chance to properly develop. Doctors conducting this five year study* of large breasted women found bras actually contribute to back pain by shifting the weight to the shoulders. After this study, apparently about 80 percent of participants decided to stop wearing bras since it rendered them symptom-free. I mean sure, keep a sports bra around for that upcoming jump rope championship and a few frilly pretties for playtime, but women have managed to thrive without this necessary device for most of human history. That said, if you’re gonna fly free, you might not want to go cold turkey... Large health institutions mostly reject the idea that bras affect women’s health, citing a lack of data, while admitting few have ever tried to gather said data. Of 12 research studies on the subject of bras and how they impact women’s health, all but one study present data that points to a correlation between bra use and a myriad of problems, including: increased back and breast pain, sagging, increased breast temperature and decreased hormonal circulation. I have yet to find any data that has found bras to be necessary or physiologically beneficial. Even without extensive data, western doctors know that circulation of the primary lymphatics is highly dependent upon movement. Think about it: chewing and swallowing help purge the lymph nodes in the neck, walking helps circulate your inguinal and pelvic lymphs and the pumping of arms and bouncing of breasts helps to purge the axillary and mammary lymph nodeswhich are responsible for a whopping 80% of your body’s lymphatic flow. Have your feet and ankles ever swollen on an airplane? That is your body trying to regulate suddenly erratic lymphatic circulation. As well as preventing the movement of the breasts, wearing a braespecially an underwireappears to pinch the delicate lymph vessels, further hindering lymphatic flow. So, with known risks and no documented benefits, why are we doing this? ~ Andie Olive bit.ly/1UnvAlY Katharine Krueger ~ Occupy Menstruation Help girls on the journey to womanhood JourneyOfYoungWomen.org/Mentoring-Girls-Certificate-Trainin Art by Marie Pierre Kuhn
