02.01.2022 What if I told you daily posting could actually HURT your brand?? Okay... hear me out Yes us social managers are ALWAYS banging on about how important it is to post every. single. day. on the platform (which, don’t get me wrong, it truly is) but on some occasions it can be super detrimental to your digital strategy... How exactly?? If you’re posting just for the sake of it - meaning you’re uploading any random, old, irrelevant photo just to meet the daily requirements - you’ll wind up getting less interaction, insta will therefore show that piece of content to less people, which will accumulate even less engagement and thus, the horrendous cycle continues Your posts will then be rendered less valuable to the community and each time you post, your content will drop straight to the bottom of the feed Instagram will also punish those who aren’t posting consistently... Yep, that’s right! So if you’re only just managing to post daily and all of a sudden drop to once a week, the algorithm will label you as ‘inconsistent’ and again your content will rank lower in the feed If you’re struggling, it’s far better to post every second or third day than to go an extended period without posting at all So find your rhythm and keep up with it you can thank us later
