25.01.2022 Another lovely day in my lovely little shoppe. I will be here all day until 5:00pm. The sales are going well with most items now reduced by 40%-50%, and items are selling out at a steady pace. Here is a video to make you ponder. Even our fiercest animals have a soft, loving heart and need affection. Have a great day :-)

25.01.2022 Happy New Year to all our animal friends and animal-loving friends! This is our first day back on deck after being closed for 2 weeks. Seems like a l-o-n-g time ago and the break was much needed. I did work in my other jobs, so it wasn't a full fortnight's break, but the days I did have off were very welcome. What's happening in the shop ...... I will need to continue to open the shop on odd days. Next week looks like this: Monday - Wednesday: Closed Thursday: 8:30am - 5:0...0pm Friday: Closed Saturday: 8:30am - 1:00pm Most items are at 40-50% off, and I am continuing to mark them down - the process seems to take longer than I envisaged! Please continue to keep an eye on our Facebook pages and / or the doors of the shop to keep up to date with our happenings. 23.01.2022 SURPRISE!!! I am unexpectedly in the shop today!!! I fully expected to be out of the shop, but as it turns out, here I am :-) How has the week been for you? Mine has been fine. Life is a bit of a juggling act but I will be in the shop as much as possible, working around my part-time job. I can almost guarantee that I will be here on Saturdays plus one other day, and I will keep you informed via Facebook and my shop window when I will be open. 23.01.2022 Greetings Everyone on this splendid Saturday morning with 10 days till Christmas!!! Awesome! Are you ready? My training is now finished and life will take on a new routine. The shop won't be open in the evenings anymore, but will be open 3-4 days each week. Next week, we will be open: Thursday: 8:30 to 5pm Friday: 8:30 to 5pm Saturday: 8:30 to 1pm... That will be our last day until the new year. We are taking a much needed break for some long overdue R&R, and should be back in the shop on January 2nd, 2019. My eyes must have crossed when I read the roster, meaning I need to change one day next week. I won't be in the shop on Tuesday, but will be on Wednesday. Amended days are below. 14.01.2022 Another week whirls past with all its ups and downs and a very cool and damp change in the weather. Foggy and light rain on the mountain here in Toowoomba. The shop is slowly emptying as customers take advantage of the sale and the last few weeks of trading. The shop will close its doors on Saturday, 27th April, although you will see us at the shop packing up for the next two weeks after that. 13.01.2022 Hello Everyone on this last day of March, and the cooler weather has finally arrived!! Likeable Animals closed its bricks and mortar store on Thursday. An opportunity arose for a young barber to take over the shop, and releasing us from the lease 6 weeks early. The end of an era, and the beginning of a new chapter. We will continue to trade at markets and let our followers know via Facebook where we will be next. Nothing on the agenda for the month of April, giving us a ...chance to sort out the inventory - the photo gives an indication of where the stock is at present, with no idea of where anything is really. (Photo taken in the lounge room - the cats L-O-V-E their new maze/obstacle course!) Thank you everyone for your support in so many ways. My training is going wonderfully well, with the little grey cells finally synapsing and I am now "getting it" much more than I was. Happy days indeed! The reduced hours for the shop have gone well - many thanks to my loyal customers who have borne with me and continued to purchased during the odd-hours weeks. 09.01.2022 Hello Dear Friends and Followers on Facebook. Well, what a difference a week makes! All of a sudden, a young barber by the name of Adam, has expressed interest in taking over my shop's lease. Last night, all was confirmed, and he has asked that I vacate the shop by 1st April, which I will do. It is 6 weeks earlier than anticipated, as my lease was due to expire mid-May. This means that I will be in my little shoppe for one more week, but only on Monday, Thursday and Satu...rday. You are welcome to visit and shop, but there will be lots of packing up and tubs around, so I ask that you please excuse the mess even before you arrive! Very mixed feelings - a sense of relief that I don't have to find rent money anymore, but a sense of sadness that I am laying a dream to rest. I will trade at markets, and keep Facebook Land posted as to when and where. Thank YOU for your boundless support in shopping with me and your encouragement along the way. 05.01.2022 Merry Christmas Everyone!!! I hope this Season is precious and gentle for you, and that you have time to draw breath. (Probably a big wish for myself, if the truth be told :-) ). I am in the shop today until 5pm, and on Saturday (tomorrow) until 1pm. The shop will then be closed for 2 weeks, opening for the first time in 2019 on Saturday, 5th January for the usual Saturday trading hours - 8:30am to 1:00pm. As the rosters come to hand for my part time jobs, I will let you know when I will be in the shop next. Starting off with great sales next year, most items will be marked down to half-price, so lots of bargains to be had. May 2019 bring you much happiness and good health :-) xo

02.01.2022 Greetings on this overcast Tuesday. How was your long week-end? Mine was lovely - a bit of work, plus catching up with friends over coffee or a meal. Nice. This video was on my Facebook feed this morning. It reminded me of an oldy-worldy TV movie/series I saw many years ago. In one of the scenes, a gentleman brought a basket of kittens to the young lady next door as a Christmas gift. I thought it was one of the most splendid things I had ever seen. Back to the video: just look at all those darling puppy faces. How would you ever choose one out of that bunch - best to take the lot! Have a great week. 01.01.2022 Hi Everyone! Hope this finds you well and enjoying the week-end. Life is fine with me and mine and at Likeable Animals. The training is done and dusted and now begins the journey of continual learning in a new job. My juggling act of my jobs will persist for a little while yet with odd hours at the shop - see below for the shop's hours from 10-16 December. Monday, 10th December - 8:30am to 5:00pm... Wednesday, 12th December - 5:15pm to 7:00pm Friday, 14th December - 5:15pm to 7:00pm Saturday, 15th December - 8:30am to 1:00pm We did celebrate the new Myths and Legends range from Erstwilder. The photos show the ones I still have - and mostly only one of each design is left. It was a very popular launch even though I was not at the shop - Facebook, mobile phones, and email are all wonderful things! Thank-you to all my loyal customers who have endured the reduced hours with me. The discount of 20% will continue up until Christmas. Have a great week-end :-)
