25.01.2022 My training hall today.

25.01.2022 We are doing a run of tshirts, hoodies and polars with the Lilac Moon Tai Chi logo on the front & back. These garments are JB Wear items, are great quality and printed locally. If you are interested, please send us a message or see Patricia at training. We are also happy to post these out for an additional $15. If you would like to view more information on the garments including sizing options, type the code into the JB Wear website https://www.jbswear.com.au/. We suggest if you are interested in the ladies tshirt that you go up one size.

25.01.2022 Six days a week for the past nine weeks there has been training by the lake, and I thank all those brave hearts who turned up, regardless of the weather. Now that Winter is well and truly here, and restrictions have eased, thankfully we are back in the training hall.

25.01.2022 Thank you to all the students who joined me for sessions down at the lake. Your commitment to training throughout Winter in the cold, wet, wind, frost and snow (and a couple of sunny days) has been exemplary. Term 4 begins Monday, 12th October and all classes will be by the lake. Again thank you, I am so grateful to you all.

22.01.2022 Autumn is a time of letting go, not always an easy thing to do, and with the help, encouragement and generosity of Kat I have let go of the old image of the dojo, bringing life to the Lilac Moon training hall. This collection represents the combined passion for martial arts of Hanshi Raoul, Hanshi Bruce Haynes, Brendan McCarthy, Declan Neale and myself.

22.01.2022 My training hall, Trentham Lake, there was something magical about practicing sword forms on such a morning.

22.01.2022 My training hall this morning, at the Great Stupa in Bendigo where I stayed overnight. Very peaceful.

21.01.2022 Unfortunately, due to restrictions there will be no classes until Friday, 19th. Restrictions, we train. No restrictions, we train.

18.01.2022 Many years ago I read an article in the New York Times about a martial arts competition where women were invited to compete for the first time. The reporter wrote: Not only are these women martial artists, they are also mothers of the human race, defenders of children and warriors of peace.

12.01.2022 I received this lovely Certificate today. Lilac Moon Tai Chi tithe a portion of all tuition fees to various organisations and in 2020 we are sponsoring Streetsmart Handbooks helping to educate our youth on important topics relevant to them as they transition into adult life. For more information and how you can help, go to smarthandbooks.com.au.

11.01.2022 Masks - Fundraiser for Red Cross Australia. The daughter and grand-daughter of one our beloved instructors is making some beautiful masks to help protect our community and raise much needed funds for the good work done by the Red Cross - only $15 including postage. Details on the Lilac Moon website https://lilacmoontaichi.com.au/community-work/. We've tested them out and they are a comfortable fit and beautifully made!

07.01.2022 I thought this was appropriate as we are in the element of Water. Training day on Tuesday 30th June, bring swords, fans, sticks, see you In Teesdale.

05.01.2022 Last class for Term 1, Term 2 commences Monday, 19th April. Thank you everyone for turning up with swords, sticks, fans, strong hearts, wet weather clothes and cheerful smiles. Training by the lake on Saturday, 3rd April, see you there.

05.01.2022 I have been practising the new Wu broadsword form. There is a LEAP in the form and I came very close to smashing the glass light shade in the lounge room. Best I take my sword down to the lake, there is more room.

02.01.2022 Thank you to beloved students who again are willing to join me for one-on-one training sessions by the lake. Last time we were in lockdown we watched the blaze of autumn turn into winter. This time we will watch the gentle return to spring.

01.01.2022 The only training that Jenny missed was the week she birthed her baby, and for months after we would flick our fans open very softly. Thought you might like this image Liz.

01.01.2022 Term 3 classes begin tomorrow, I am looking forward to training with you all again.
