25.01.2022 WHAT A WONDERFUL AUSTRALIA DAY WE HAD!!! We were honoured to be awarded Community Group of the Year at the Shire of Yarra Ranges Australia Day Awards. And on top of that our President Paul Tripp was awarded Citizen of the Year! Thank you to everyone involved in the Show Society each year - this is a reflection of all your hard work.

These items are to be shipped out Monday morning so goods have to be delivered to the Lilydale Showgrounds tomorrow between 12pm-3pm 27 Market St, Lilydale or can be dropped off directly at the Gruyere CFA (opposite their station) in Killara Road - Gruyere * Power Boards * Torches * Batteries * Camp Lanterns * Extension Leads Please help out with the above donations urgently, other donations will be organised later in the week Lilydale & Yarra Valley Show Committee

08.01.2022 FRESH FRUIT Welcoming new stall holder to our market this Sunday, Rayner's Orchard. They have a wonderful array of fresh fruit grown locally and will be bringing some apples, plums, home made jams and more. They also run fruit bottling workshops (something different for the kiddies and so much fun) and are very well-known in the valley. They even featured on channel 10 last month come check them out this Sunday! ... 9am-1pm at 27-29 Market street, Lilydale.

04.01.2022 MAKE SURE YOU COME DOWN TO.......... Lilydale Community Christmas Spectacular Saturday the 14th of December 10am to 4pm.... Come and join us for a fantastic day out with the true Christmas feel for all the family. See Santa arrive on his Sled pulled by his trusty husky dog team at 11am and perform on stage with the Little Wing Fairies in their Christmas stage show. Take the children into Santa's Grotto the see Santa and have their photos taken with him and let him know what they would like for Christmas he will be all ears and will be there until 3 30pm. Meet the fantastic Wacky Wombats and have lots of fun with them and have your photos taken the children will love them. We have the Dodgem Track for mum and dad and all the family and lots of rides for the smaller children in the family. There's also face painting and games for the children and of course Fairy Floss, Popcorn and many flavours of frozen goodies plus free Balloons for the Children. We have a great assortment of fabulous Market Stalls with all you could ever need for Christmas from clothing, toys, cheese and wine, Christmas tree sales fruit and a massive assortment of nuts plus collectible s and much more. We have a great range of food to suit everyone on sale and some of the best coffee for miles around there is also the Big Fire Truck attending with all the guys from Lilydale fire brigade so let the children be a fire man or women for the day and learn the many skill the brigade has to offer. This will be a fantastic day out with a great Christmas theme throughout the day sing along to your favourite carols being played during the day from our radio broadcast unit say hi to our roving announcers and put in a music request. This event is designed to bring the surrounding areas in the community together, we have some fabulous entertainment and wonderful dance groups performing throughout the day plus lots more. Entry $5 per person or $10 per family of 4 children under 4 free, we will be donating $1 off the single entry price and $2 off the family entry to the Fire Brigade as a thank you for all the hard work they do and the time they give during the fire danger period we all need them. Please join us for a great day out and help support a good cause with a fun day out for all the family.
