09.01.2022 If you've been wondering why we've been quiet on the Facebook front over the last little while, we've been busy, busy helping to put together Belgrave's End of the Line Festival. Check out the beautiful collaboration we did with talented local makeup artist Meeko Jesse Shine Richards and our gorgeous model Anja Tyrrell. Our interpretation of Ken Taylor's original festival artwork. The festival was an exciting celebration of arts culture in the region, we are SOOO PROUD of our little town, big thanks to everyone who contributed and everyone who attended =)

08.01.2022 Tomorrow night we will be hosting the exhibition opening of another very talented local artist! Maximilian Harley is a young emerging artist and recent graduate of the Victorian College of the Arts. His works comprise the pairing of traditional oil painting techniques with modes of abstraction and representational ambiguity. A member of group shows for the past several years, 'Rosetta' is Maximilian's first solo exhibition. So drop in between 6-8pm this Friday 3rd, have a glass of wine and enjoy some great art and fine company :)

03.01.2022 IMPORTANT Limerence news Dear Limerence family, friends and supporters, First of all I would like to thank you all for another great year!... I write to you today to inform you of the up-coming permanent closure of Limerence. Since Limerence opened its doors in 2010 we have hosted over 50 art exhibitions including many group shows, competitions and community engagement projects including End of the Line Festival. We have also represented up to 60 artists at a time in store on an ongoing basis, forming a rich, ever-evolving tapestry that has been an incredible source of inspiration to artists and customers alike. This has by no means been an easy decision to make, as I realise how much Limerence means to so many people, both the artists we represent and the customers that have loved, supported and been inspired by what we do over the years. All good things must come to an end however, and I am incredibly proud of what we have been able to achieve within the store and within the community over the past 5 years. I would like to thank each and every one of you for contribution to the creation and evolution of this very special place. I feel honoured to have represented so many talented artists and designers over the years sharing their stories and beautiful creations. Weve proudly acted with vitality and vigor as a conduit between artists and the customers that come to us seeking beauty and inspiration. I am so grateful for the friendships and connections we have formed along the way. On a personal note, as you all know, I am passionate about handmade, the arts and the Hills community so dont worry, I am by no means disappearing! I will be taking some time off to focus on my family, my home and my own arts practice whilst I assess my options and next steps. We will be closing at the end of this month, so over the next 2 weeks there will be significant discounts on heaps of our remaining stock. This is your last chance to purchase those items that youve been lusting after! Also, we are hosting our Last Hurrah! party on Saturday 30th January. We would love for you to join us to show one last act of appreciation and support for this Hills arts institution. We have all contributed and benefited from the space in many different ways, so lets take this opportunity to raise a glass together and share in those memories.
