21.01.2022 everyone please welcome our newest member to Limestone Park Stud Miniature Dachshunds! This is our new male, a shorthaired Isabella piebald! he, along with widget will be our breeding sires. & we cant wait to see the puppies he produces! I believe we will be the only registered breeders in WA that breeds isabellas & piebalds! how very exiting!

20.01.2022 if this isnt the cutest video I dont know what is! all of our dogs including our red heeler puppy are incredibly well behaved & gentle with the puppies, they absolutely adore them, and the tiny puppies love them even more especially the red heeler! Billie & Baci think they are the best to play! This social interaction with other dogs is essential for puppies at a young age, this starts them with good manners & confidence around other dogs!

09.01.2022 just a little reminder on the topic of application forms, we have a new stud who we will be using for the majority of next year, he is a piebald Isabella shorthaired miniature, he is also a longhaired carrier so we will be expecting lots of different colours. below I have attached some photos (from google, none of them are mine) of what our puppies may look like. So get creative with your application forms, I can’t wait to see the puppies we get!

07.01.2022 This is something everyone should see. When you get your 8/10 week old puppies, please keep this image in mind. Their bones do not even touch yet. They plod a...round so cutely with big floppy paws and wobbly movement because their joints are entirely made up of muscle, tendons, ligaments with skin covering. Nothing is fitting tightly together or has a true socket yet. When you run them excessively or dont restrict their exercise to stop them from overdoing it during this period you dont give them a chance to grow properly. Every big jump or excited bouncing run causes impacts between the bones. In reasonable amounts this is not problematic and is the normal wear and tear that every animal will engage in. But when youre letting puppy jump up and down off the lounge or bed, take them for long walks/hikes, you are damaging that forming joint. When you let the puppy scramble on tile with no traction you are damaging the joint. You only get the chance to grow them once. A well built body is something that comes from excellent breeding and a great upbringing-BOTH, not just one. Once grown you will have the rest of their life to spend playing and engaging in higher impact exercise. So keep it calm while theyre still little baby puppies and give the gift that can only be given once. A bit of back-story: This is a baby puppy who had a knock to his elbow and wasnt using it properly, so he was taken to the vet. There is nothing wrong in these x-rays, thankfully it is a soft tissue injury and he is expected to be fine.

05.01.2022 we are very exited to announce the arrival of our first winter litter, from Nimeria & Widget! 3 beautiful Black and Tan boys! Nimerias first litter & shes being a super mum, her labour was very quick & easy, and everything went as planned no applications please!

05.01.2022 from about 6 1/2 to 8 weeks all of our puppies go through the socialisation period, where they meet all of our other dogs & get the opportunity to play with them. This period teaches them essential social skills & the rules of play, developing confidence & respect! fortunately all of our dogs are absolutely beautifully natured so they are very gentle with the puppies & know that they cannot be too rough with them. 03.01.2022 hi everyone, thankyou for all your lovely messages today, a lot of hours spent on the screen today! we would just like to post a notice for anyone desperately wanting a puppy, we know of two beautiful red shaded miniature shorthaired boys available both are pedigreed & come with papers, they are based in QLD & we can absolutely vouch for their amazing breeders, we purchased our beautiful stud widget (whom has sired many of our recent litters) from them a few years ago & they were such amazing people to deal with, very trustworthy & reliable, they made sure our widget flew safely to WA & the quality of their dogs is second to none.
