Develops scapula stability and shoulder strength. ... WHO? For people wanting intermediate progressions for core stabilisation to prevent back pain and minimise sporting injuries. NOT for: you if you're hoping to see immediate results because Bondi beach is reopening in 4 days but your quarantine bod is in full swing. Also avoid if you get doming, back arching, wrist, shoulder or back pain, >20 weeks pregnant. HOW? 16.01.2022 The elusive PELVIC FLOOR! Do you know what a pelvic floor lift REALLY looks like? Real-time Ultrasound (RTUS) is a great, non-invasive way to check if you are activating your pelvic floor in the right direction. The pelvic floor form the base of the muscles commonly called the deep core. They work with the Transverse Abdominis and diaphragm to support the spine and control the pressure inside the abdomen. ... When we move or lift something heavy, the pelvic floor muscles should lift as the abdominals draw in and breathing is easy. In people with chronic back or pelvic pain, pelvic floor symptoms and sometimes following child birth, this coordinated, automatic action may be altered. During exercises when intrabdominal pressure is increased, there is potential to overload the pelvic floor and cause it to descend rather than lift. 13.01.2022 The Butt Scoot If you find it hard to sit up straight at work (or at home), this little trick will make your life a little easier. Neck or back pain aggravated by sitting at your desk may be greatly reduced by simply correcting your sitting position. However holding that correct posture is difficult if you setup badly. ... The majority of people sit down onto the back of their butt, which posteriorly rotates your pelvis and causes your spine to change from a S-shape into a C-shaped curve. If you setup in this position it takes a lot of muscular effort to hold your self up straight. Changing your setup makes things easier. The Butt Scoot is simple. Lean forward and pull the flesh of your buttocks out behind you. You may have been asked to do something similar at yoga. This simple adjustment ANTERIORLY rotates your pelvis, realigning your lumbar spine into lordosis and promotes the natural S-shape throughout your spine. It will now be easier to hold this position as you are using the bony architecture of your spine and not just relying on the big strap muscles of your back to hold you up!! This leads to less muscular fatigue and less overloading of your ligaments....and most likely less pain!

These are for you if your mid section is starting to resemble the goon bag you've had to start drinking again, while you wait for Scotty from marketting to finalise Job Keeper payments. Make sure you can easily do beginner exercises first. ... HOW? If you don't have a Pilates ball, blow up your empty goon bag and use that instead. Try 2 sets of: * 10x chest lifts with reach * 10x leg extensions * 5 x leg to side * 5x oblique twist * 5x oblique twist with leg extension * 5x oblique hold with leg extensions * 5x oblique crunch * 10x double leg stretch.
