22.01.2022 Well, excuuuuse ME Mrs. 10 months post natal Would you take a look at the definition forming in that back?!?! I am so proud of my client Jessie... her body has always been very well conditioned due to a life filled with healthy levels of exercise, eating well, & a balanced mindset around the matter... but I’m not going to lie, going through pregnancies & breastfeeding sure does knock the system.. physically, mentally & let’s not even talk about the hormonal fuck u...ps (for lack of a better phrase ) All of these factors play a huge role in making the come back from having children, a MASSIVE challenge... so... this journey would not be easier or harder for any other mother just because Jessie was healthy to begin with. She still lost motivation after their first baby, and didn’t exercise the second she found out about their second pregnancy!! ANY woman, no matter how many children they’ve had, what kind of birth(s) they’ve been through, breastfeeding or not... ANY woman will find the come back a struggle. What if I didn’t exercise during or even BEFORE pregnancy? What if I want to get pregnant again? Will I stop producing milk if I exercise? Isn’t is dangerous to lift weights while I’m carrying? What if I’m doing IVF? What if I have abdominal separation? How do I lose this goddam baby weight? How do I feel like ME again???? Do these sound like common questions or feelings to you? Well then answer is... if you want the come back, you simply need the right professional support and understanding, and the desire to really want the change . And that, my friends, is exactly why my clients like Jessie, get results #proud #pt #personaltrainer #ptlife #postnatal #prenatal #intranatal #rehabilitation #bodybuilding #fitmum #fitfam #mumlife #emotional #hormones #breastfeeding #anytimefitness #limitlesspt #fitchick #physique #backday #shredded #rehab #birth #babymumma #gym #fitnessmotivation @anytimefitnessgriffin @anytimefitnessaustralia @anytimefitnesskallangur @anytimefitnesskawana @jmurphymay

19.01.2022 Quick tip for the ol’ bicep curl (Mind the bung eye sorry ) It’s not always about lifting heavy, sometimes we really have to work on muscle to mind connection, and isolated movements such as the Barbell Bicep Curl is a perfect example. ... I’m a huge fan of playing around with tempos and pauses while the muscles are under load, and really getting my clients to feel the sting deep in the correct spot. It creates shock to the system and promotes strength & growth regardless of the percentage of weight being carried vs your body weight This is why technique is so important in both isolated and compound exercises. So here’s the tip..... as you contract through your BB bicep curl (IE: the raising of the bar up toward the shoulders by bending at the elbow joint), picture yourself pulling the bar apart as HARD as you can, and SQUEEZE damn tight up the top, do NOT let go of tension. Trust me, the burn is REAL, and if you wanna get super nasty and hit the bicep right on the inside head..... widen your hand grip #ouch I use lots of tricky tips like this with all kinds of exercises and lifts, that not only give my experienced clients a progressive session, but it often helps those less experienced actually learn how to get their mind to connect to their body & specific muscle groups Try it, and let me know how different it felt Like I said, it’s not always about how HEAVY you lift. It’s HOW you lift #bicepcurl #biceps #guns #gunshow #curlsgetthegirls #barbellcurl #lift #trainmean #muscletomind #squeeze #liftheavy #gymlife #fitfam #lifestyle #fitnessmotivation #inspiration #fitchick #ptlife #anytimefitness #limitlesspt #strong #shredded #cricket #athlete #fitmum #mumlife #learn #evolve #exercise

08.01.2022 Back strength Have you always wanted to learn how to do body weight chin ups?? Then tune in... (FYI: I’m originally from a traditional gymnastics world, so ANY body weight lift chin to bar, for me, is called a chin up, I just alter the specific name per hand grip, IE: wide grip, neutral grip or under hand grip, the GYM world today would probably mock me & tell me it’s a pull up. Well, it’s not, so there ) My client, Mick (performing wide grip chin ups here) has been ...on my strength & conditioning program for months now, & in this video (approx. 12 weeks in) we started progress toward a body weight chin up. Let’s keep in mind that Mick already had a conditioned physique, coming from a history of sports growing up & into adulthood.. so this process doesn’t take him very long at all, & the tri-set that he’s performing in this video is not only advanced, but is also being used as a fatigue tool at the end of his back session If you want to learn how to do a chin up, then here’s a couple of progression tips - Assisted machine is your friend Therobands for assistance - loosen resistance band each week Negatives - boost yourself to elbow bent height, jump to bar holding core tight, & lower yourself down slowly over seconds. This helps you get used to carrying load & time under tension Back accessory exercises weekly to build strength & size Reps & sets are specifically built up over a length of time with each of these tips, so feel free to reach out for programming or more in depth tips On another note, Mick is coming off his full body strength program soon, & onto his endurance phase to start increasing his running speed Big big plans for next year & 2021!!! #backday #chinups #pullup #widegrippullups #strong #bodyweight #buildmuscle #strengthandconditioning #bodybuilding #runner #athlete #triathlete #marathon #corestrength #ironman #swimbikerun #bostonmarathon2021 #speed #agility #sportspecific #pt #ptlife #personaltrainer #gymlife #fitfam #leangains #anytimefitness @anytimefitnessaustralia @anytimegriffin @afkallangur @afkawana #trainmean #dedication #sportsman

07.01.2022 I’m so proud of all my clients, both past and present. I won’t ever be able to explain what it feels like to be able to guide a person through their personal health (both mentally and physically) and help them reach a long term goal and beyond. It’s not an easy job being a personal trainer, making ends meet, paying the bills with risk of not earning next week. Ups and downs of not only personal life, but also the lives of your clients. Ever since I’ve been hiring PT’s to joi...n our amazing team, it’s proven that not everyone is built for this. And in saying that, everyone deserves a chance. If you ever cross paths with a PT, don’t ever forget that they are running a small business and your money on your health is actually going toward a very good cause. Here’s what qualities to look out for... Hunger to help people, engaging and sharing motivation. PASSION is a must (actually this is the first and foremost quality of a trainer), and education. Experience and knowledge is power. This job is one of the hardest I’ve ever had to do, but also absolutely the most rewarding I’m so happy I made this work. For me. And also for my clients There’s some big things in the pipeline of my career and I will never give up on them . . #personaltrainer #pt #ptlife #passion #hunger #humble #reward #grateful #ilovemyjob #lifestyle #business #happiness #gymlife #fitnessmotivation #postnatal #intranatal #prenatal #mindset #fitfam #fitchicks #abseparation #diastasisrecti #mumlife #fitmum #relationships #gratitude #postivevibes #liftheavy #fitspo See more

01.01.2022 Through my fitness career, I’ve been asked quite regularly, what are you training for? You see, people see me lifting, all phases from strength, endurance and hypertrophy. They see me powerlifting, learning the technicals, testing my strength, and even using it for intensity and fat stripping. You’ll see me obliterate my body with functional and explosive movement. Watch me running, interval training, climb mountains, sparring, smashing shit, hanging upside down, or strolli...ng along the beach . My only answer to the common question what are you training for Lisa?, is.... for me. And that’s why you’ll see me dying, but always smiling And my goal as a coach, is to make sure everyone finds the same joy that an active lifestyle brings to me.... that feeling of pure healthy energy that makes you want to jump out of bed in the mornings The goals & PB’s are just a bonus And my promise to you is that I will continue to learn and develop in the industry so that my knowledge expands just as much as my experience . . #lifestyle #balance #fitness #instafit #fitfam #fitnessmotivation #inspiration #energy #gymlife #ilovemyjob #challenge #goals #postnatal #fitmum #fitchick #chickswholift #anytimefitness #joy #personaltrainer #genuinecare #shredded #weightloss #gains #strong #sport #athlete #healthyliving #mumlife #positivevibes @anytimefitnessaustralia @anytimefitnessgriffin @anytimefitnesskallangur @anytimefitnesskawana See more
