10.01.2022 Coronavirus Update: 0 new cases for Fairfield residents today. Great news today, while 9 new cases were identified in NSW, for the first time since the virus ca...me to Fairfield from Victoria, we have had NO Fairfield residents diagnosed with the virus over the 24 hours up to 8pm last night. Well done everyone, but please we need to keep it up. Our numbers have stayed at 66 overall, with no new cases. However we stil have 5 Unknown Sources. While it’s good news that no new cases have been found in our city, it does not mean the virus isn’t still among our community. Stay vigilant, get tested if you have symptoms and continue to social distance or wear a mask if your in an area you cannot. NSW has reported nine new COVID-19 cases overnight. Five of the new cases were locally acquired with links to Tangara School for Girls in Cherrybrook, two linked to known cases, a staff member at Dooleys Lidcombe Catholic Club and another Liverpool Hospital staff member, but there is no risk to any patients. A sixth case was locally acquired with no known source and three cases were returning travellers in hotel quarantine. Another case was identified in a student at St Vincent’s College in Potts Point. Let’s keep it up, we got this Fairfield.
