18.01.2022 Coomera Connector - Updated design imagery (Part 1) This two minute video shows indicative designs for three sections of the proposed Coomera Connector. The ...first section of the video shows Monterey Keys Drive, Helensvale to Shipper Drive, Coomera. It appears to show (...for a fleeting moment):- A proposed interchange ‘connecting’ onto the City controlled Helensvale Road, Helensvale (which is, in its current configuration, is single lane - east to west ). What it does not show is:- Connectivity to the State controlled Hope Island Road (dual lane, east / west); The proposed Hope Island heavy rail station; Connectivity with Beattie Road, Coomera. The second section of the video shows a major / significant interchange at Helensvale, connecting to Brisbane Road. It appears to show:- an Underpass to the light rail station carpark from Buckler Drive, Helensvale. Stage 1 linking to Shipper Drive, Coomera (not Foxwell Road). The third, and final, section of the video shows an elevated road (with no connectivity) at Parkwood. The elevated road appears to cross over Smith Street, Arundel (west of the existing Napper Road intersection beside the Light Rail station). Finally, for the cyclists, there appears to be a provision for a veloway all along the eastern edge of the Coomera Connector (the lycra crew are well catered for...). #CoomeraConnector #StateRoad
