There are so many things to be grateful for and it’s wonderful to escape into a creative world, and capture them in paint! . . . .... . Coles Bay in Tasmania is stunningly beautiful with its turquoise green water and wind swept beaches. Angular dark rocks are continually battered by the choppy waters, and some earthy red-brown rocks on the waters edge match the reds and pink tones of the sky at sunset. 14.01.2022 Found this little beauty on my walk this morning! Anyone know exactly what it is? Is it the start of a pine cone?! Well whatever it is, I love it! Such a beautiful shape, pattern and texture around the outside, the subtle greens! Sometimes I’m amazed by nature’s creations!!! Now anyone know how to remove sap from your hands?!!!

10.01.2022 Gosh mixed emotions today on my morning walk - such beauty in the colours after the rain which we prayed for, but sadness too to see such a stunning gum pulled from the ground and neighbours with a lengthy clean up. Thinking of you all with damage to deal with.

08.01.2022 As you may know I love being in the great outdoors, and particularly walking on a beautiful beach! The north of Tasmania is spectacular, and known for it’s incredible sunrises! It’s amazing how quickly the sky changes - the glow of the sun moving across and up above the clouds. Yellows, pinks, purples and blues...and reflected in the wash of the surf! It was a challenge to capture these colours!

07.01.2022 This watercolour of the Australian Flowering Gum was a joy to paint! I love the shape and the blue-grey green of the gum leaf - it’s very unique. The spectacular red flowers contrast beautifully against the green. 03.01.2022 Meet ‘Cuddly Koala’ and his friend ‘Gentle Joey’. They are a gift created for a beautiful little girl! Add a few gum leaves and they are all set! We are so lucky here in Australia to have such amazing wildlife. It’s been a tough time for them over the last summer, let’s hope we don’t have any disasters like that again, and the numbers start to increase with all the wonderful care groups and breeding programs. Koalas and Kangaroos are a delight to paint - I feel emotionally at...tached!!! Watch this space for more to come! . . . @ Sydney, Australia
