24.01.2022 COVID-19 UPDATE What we know from today’s announcement by Daniel Andrews is... Remote Learning will continue until the end of Term 3. Staff are well planned and prepared to deliver the program up until the end of term.... Students in regional Victoria will return to onsite learning from October 12. It is unknown what Week 1 of Term 4 will look like for primary schools. We will provide all families with more information in the coming days as we are waiting for clarification from the Department of Education. Happy Father’s Day!

19.01.2022 Today is our whole school cross country. Make sure your child has a labelled drink bottle, sneakers on and wearing house colours. Unfortunately, parents are unable to attend the event due to COVID restrictions. Good luck!

19.01.2022 5/6 CAMP: Our happy campers are due back between 2.45-3.00pm. Students who are not on their regular bus can be picked up from the front of the school during this time. Make sure you let staff know when you're leaving. Thanks.

18.01.2022 COVID UPDATE: Hopefully most families have heard the announcement from Daniel Andrews this afternoon. All Victorian students will resume Remote Learning this week, for the remainder of Term 3. Monday will be a regular school day, but unfortunately we have cancelled our cross country due to community sport being cancelled. ... Tuesday will be student free, with staff taking the chance to prepare another successful teaching model for the remainder of term. Please stay tuned for further updates around the plan for the remainder of the week, learning packs and class zoom meetings in a note sent out tomorrow. We look forward to the challenge remote learning brings. We will keep you informed and make this process as smooth and engaging as possible for all our families.

12.01.2022 Today, from 9-10am, all students will participate in Jump Rope for Heart. This is where students recognise the importance of a healthy lifestyle to greatly reduce heart disease. Remember a drink bottle and runners!

12.01.2022 WELCOME BBQ Unfortunately due to the current circumstances surrounding COVID, we have decided to postpone next weeks barbecue and information sessions. We are looking at a creative way to get 2021 information out to parents next week. *We will keep you updated with any changes about the return to school. Fingers crossed for Thursday!

11.01.2022 There are some wonderful events coming up this week... Tuesday is our athletics carnival and students can wear house colours. Fingers crossed for improved weather conditions! Friday is our 'Book Week' dress up day where students dress up as a book character and complete learning tasks in multi-age groups. ... *Unfortunately parents are unable to attend these events due to COVID restrictions.

11.01.2022 The latest update to the Schools Operations Guide has been published and these are the important points that will impact Lindenow Primary School; 1. As of, Monday 30th November, parents will be allowed to be back onsite at our school. Parents will only be able to access our outdoor spaces and will be unable to enter classrooms and buildings. 2. Our annual graduation ceremony will be going ahead for students with a limited amount parents and staff. 3. Transitions for 2021 will... continue, but have restricted numbers of attendees. 4. End of year celebrations continue to have restricted attendance numbers. 5. Face masks will only be worn when working in the administration building. Staff are not required to wear face masks outside or in the classroom. 6. Drinking taps are able to be used again. 7. Students with symptoms should be staying home until they are free from symptoms. Enjoy your day and the weekend!

10.01.2022 SCHOOL RETURNS TOMORROW! All LPS students are expected to return to school tomorrow. We are looking forward to having students back in the classroom for Term 4. A few reminders; 1. All students must have a wide brimmed hat and their own drink bottle.... 2. Any staff or students who are unwell, must stay home. 3. Gates will not open until 8.30am. Only students accessing our bus routes should arrive before 8.30am. 4. Parents and the general public are not permitted to enter school grounds. Access is limited to essential school services and operations (e.g. student health and wellbeing services, specialist curriculum programs, maintenance workers). Contact the office if you need to make an appointment. 5. Hand sanitiser will again be provided in every classroom and sanitising of high-touch areas will continue on a daily basis until the end of the year. We hope all families enjoyed the break and we look forward to seeing 151 smiling faces tomorrow!

09.01.2022 Good evening everyone! Currently we are unable to accept any student attendance requests for Monday and Wednesday this week. The amount of staff on-site is limited. If you would like to put in a request this can be done via the office and preferably with 48 hours notice. Thanks!

06.01.2022 This Monday, all families will changeover their child’s fortnightly learning pack either via their normal bus route or by picking up from the school. The administration building will be set up as a walkway with learning packs on the left hand side. The packs will only include one week’s worth of learning while we wait for directions from the department about students returning to school. The pick-up times to be at school are according to the child’s surname; Beginning with A-...H: 8.45-9.30am Beginning with I-P: 9.30-10.15am Beginning with Q-Z: 10.15-11.00am *If you are unable to make your allocated time, please book an alternate time with the office. All families accessing our bus routes received a text message today confirming their pick up time Monday morning. 06.01.2022 It was another proud day at school on Monday with Murray Ingram being recognised by DET for his years of outstanding service to our school community. It was also wonderful that Mr Shoemaker could be there to present this well deserved award. Thanks again Murray!
