21.01.2022 We had a little visitor yesterday This poor little guy was hot, exhausted and very thirsty. We gave him some cool freshwater, he tried to get into the bowl to cool his body down. He lay in the water for 20 minutes or so cooling off. He drank the water, keeping his front paws in the water the whole time. He was so trusting and let me get up close enough to put the bowl of water right in front of him. We used this as a great learning opportunity for the children to encourag...e them to care for our environment and our wildlife. The children responded with "he must be so hot" " does he need something to eat?" they were so concerned about his wellbeing and sincerely wanted to help. This ties in with the childrens recent interest in helping others in need. I stayed out there with this little guy until he was hydrated and cool enough to climb back up into the tree where he was safe from the roads.

11.01.2022 Toddler, Pre - Kinder and Kinder children go on a weekly excursion to our local park. While visiting the park, we carefully walked across the chain bridge. As we balanced along the chain bridge, we sang a song called "5 Grey Elephants Balancing." We practiced our gross and fine motor skills, including balance, coordination and spatial awareness. This also encouraged our language and communication skills and social interactions.

08.01.2022 Children develop dispositions for learning such as curiosity, cooperation, confidence, creativity, commitment, enthusiasm, persistence, imagination, and reflexivity. Children express wonder and interest in their environments, they are curious and use play to investigate, imagine and explore ideas. Educators promote this learning when they provide learning environments that are flexible and open-ended. Educators encourage children to engage in both individual and collaborative explorative learning processes. This beautiful set up of Australian animals, natural items and aesthetically pleasing equipment encourage children to be confident and involved learners.

01.01.2022 The children have shown great interest in helping others in need. This has sprouted a lot of questions about how we can help. We are now a collection point for shoeboxes of love and thought the children might like to help in putting together some shoeboxes of essential items for those in need. Not only are the children learning about how to help others, but they are also learning about what essential items they need in their lives to keep hygienic, healthy, and happy in thei...r day to day world. Here is our giving tree decorated by the children. We are so lucky to have the support of the community as donations flow through the doors. Thank you to everyone who has donated so far, you have done a great thing for someone in need. See more
