16.01.2022 What a night! Guests, budding Lions, and Charlton members all welcoming District Governor Lion Frankie Tang to the Friendly River Town. The Governor's annual visit is one of the many highlights on Lions social calendar. Of course, D.G. Lion Frankie didn't disappoint. He warmed to the occasion, illustrating how his theme of "Collaboration, Challenge, and Change" when coupled with our International President's living motto "Diversity of Service" can bridge vast differences..., connect people of the world, create harmony for all, enriching every club and community. D.G. Frankie urged Lions to ask in your local communities and of our newest members, What is needed? Even looking further afield, LCIF has expanded its focus. Their pillars of service can inspire the adoption of new projects. New projects can revive enthusiasm, boost community interest, and escalate retention. To close D.G. Lion Frankie awarded service chevrons to Lions Geoff Winsall (40-years), Zone Chairman Peter Watts (30-years), and Kevin Willey (20-years). District Governor Lion Frankie and President John Headon exchanged bannerettes. Before gifting John with a unique pin struck in support of Governor Frankie's District project, "Safe Steps." See more

04.01.2022 Operation complete!! New look within the Lions Club of Charlton. Finally after many years, both Lions Rodney and Harry are now sporting a new image. Their actions were in support of a (9-year old) Lion cub Davina from Lions Club of Melbourne NextGen. Raising awareness and much needed funds for ALCCRF. Additional benefit they are both completely clean shaven in readiness for the warmer weather of summer. Davina and 3 of her fellow cubs donated their near waste length to Varie...ty Australia, ultimately to become beautiful wigs for children living with cancer. Slightly short of the $10,000 target. Lions are inviting you to check on their fund-raising progress. Goto #CutHair4CancerKids, all donations over $2 are tax deductible, Only give what you can comfortably donate. Please share this post and encourage your family and friends to follow your shining example. We thank-you and everyone for generously supporting Davina's project. See more
