25.01.2022 Kids just copy what we do, right? Here is my daughter with her skincare invention of gelatin, water and charcoal. Lets see what happens!! I am not sure how this will come off her face, though.

25.01.2022 Getting ready for school and sorting the kids drawers. These wooden squares are super cheap and a great alternative to FAKE smells in your drawers. The fake smells just contribute to allergies, are hormone disruptors and really bad for our health. Pop some drops of essential oils on them and place them in the drawers. I usually top them up once a month (or when I remember!!). The scent today is eucalyptus and lemon myrtle. So fresh!!

24.01.2022 Have you got some old socks? Not sure what to do with them? I had an idea: place some bicarbonate soda inside them (you can use a funnel to help), then add a few drops of essential oils (if you want to), tight some rubber band around the top and you are good to go!! Place it inside your "smelly" shoes!!... Have you got a tip for getting rid of smelly shoes?

24.01.2022 We are off on a great adventure so the last day to order any products from us is the 16/9/18 otherwise only at the end of October. Thank you

23.01.2022 Who wouldn't want a bit of this oil? There is plenty of it in our midnight beauty serum. It is very effective.

23.01.2022 Monday is CLEANSING day for me and today I made a clay mask with Rhassoul, Bentonite, green and Kaolin clays added to some organic coconut milk powder as it cleanses gently and throughly, but DOES NOT leave your skin dry. I also added some Activated charcoal as it helps draw out impurities. Add 1tsp of the clay mix to 1 Tbs of liquid (carrier oil, witch hazel or filtered water and mix to form a paste. Apply to your face and leave it for about 10 minutes. ... Enjoy!! Have you ever made or used powdered cleanser and clays? Please share your experiences. The formula can be adapted to your preference and skin type.

23.01.2022 When you cannot buy a hand sanitizer, you make your own! The good news is that I can add different essential oils to it. Tea tree, eucalyptus and lemon myrtle are my favorites. Clove is also a great protective oil, but many people do not like the smell.

22.01.2022 Here is a link to learn about mindfulness. It is FREE so you are not losing anything for giving it a go. I am taking this course as a reminder to slow down, breathe and be present. We all know that is what we need, but the course is a good reminder. They also have lots of other free courses. Have you tried them before? What course have you done?

22.01.2022 NEW STOCK for the deodorant cream is available now. Only 15 so be quick. Once they are gone, that is it!! We still have 14 of the Deodorant Stick.

20.01.2022 Here is something you can eat that will help your gut (extra fibre) and your skin due to its omega 3, 6 and 9. Can you guess what it is? My naturopath told me to add 2 Tbs a day to increase my fibre intake. You can find out more about these tips in the private group https://www.facebook.com/groups/simplechangestonaturalliving/ Join Us

19.01.2022 I remember a time when we used vaseline for lots of things. My father and brother in law loved it for their lips and dry hands. Lots of people used it for their dry heels. ** PLEASE DON"T. There are many natural alternatives and some that you can even make it yourself with very little ingredients that will nourish your skin and not compromise your health. Who agrees with me?

19.01.2022 Here is something else you can do with Bicarb Soda: Take a refreshing and relaxing bath with Sodium Bicarbonate ! Bicarb Soda when added to your bath, will relax aching muscles by neutralizing lactic acid in the muscles, while softening the skin. ... For a pampering and revitalizing bath soak, fill your bathtub with warm water and dissolve 2 cups of Sodium Bicarbonate in it - a 10 to 15 minute soak will make you feel regenerated at once ! * I add 2 cups of Epsom salts as well and some essential oils. Just heaven!! ** If you don't like to lye in the bath, just place your feet in a bucket with bicarb and epsom salts.

18.01.2022 It is a "Spring clean" type of day. I am giving away things that no longer serve me, no longer make me happy or simple has no need in my life. As I go through my cupboard and clothes, I have found my cedar wood balls so I have added a few drops of lemon and lavender essential oils to freshen my cupboard. How are you planning to start 2018? Any changes? What no longer serves you?

17.01.2022 It is a serum making type of day! Every oil was delicately measured. The benefits of Tamanu, Argan, Hemp, Jojoba and Borage oils are amazing. ** They leave your face feeling so smooth and hydrated. ... * Hemp seed oil is fast absorbing, soothing and anti-inflammatory. * Tamanu oil is healing, anti-bacterial and antioxidant. * Argan oil is fast absorbing and anti-oxidant. * Vitamin E helps fight free radicals and help reduce wrinkles. * Borage oil is one of the richest sources of essential fatty acids. * Jojoba oil is reach in Vitamin E and has a chemical composition to the skin sebum. * Small percentage of Frankincense, Myrrh and Lavender Essential Oils.

15.01.2022 While cleaning some cupboards this morning, I came across an old jar with the old logo and sticker. Such a difference. I much prefer the new ones. I love the green and the leaf as part of the L in simple.

14.01.2022 50% Off the Stick Deodorant. I have about 20 left. Message me here to arrange payment. $10 each plus postage or pick up available.

14.01.2022 Some Brazilian carrier oils to try for winter: ** Pequi Fruit Oil comes from the region when my parents live. The fruit is yellow and it has a very distinguish aroma. The oil is great for dry and damaged skin and hair.... **Brazil Nut Oil: It has a subtle yellow colour. It comes from the Brazil nut and it is an excellent addition to skin and hair. Have you found any unusual carrier oils? What is your favourite? I love Hemp Seed and Tamanu oils.

13.01.2022 Happy Monday!! Today I have made a video on how to make your own home/car deodoriser. Find out more information here: https://www.facebook.com/groups/simplechangestonaturalliving/

13.01.2022 Happy Monday!! Now that the day is over, how about getting those legs and feet cared for? Would you like to make a simple bath salt to soak the stress away?... Here it goes: In a bowl, *mix 1 cup of Epsom salts * 1/4 cup of bicarb soda *2 Tbs of a carrier oil (coconut, olive, avocado, macadamia). *Lavender essential oil (about 15 drops) * Peppermint essential oil (about 5 drops) Mix it all together and use it in the bath or in a foot soak. It is a great way to relax your muscles and prepare for bed. Let me know what you think of this mixture. You can always substitute the essential oils. Have you got a special recipe to wind down after a long day?

12.01.2022 Every month, every week and every day we have the OPPORTUNITY to choose how we want to live our lives. What changes we are going to make, what steps to take. Cheers to the beginning of another week. Photo: Jon Tyson

12.01.2022 It is so lovely to hear feedback from you guys. Ana Hall from Live Clean 80/20 shared such a lovely feedback on our stick deodorant. Thank you so much for taking the time to write this Ana.

09.01.2022 What are some weird/funny things you have got up to? I usually put bentonite or kaolin clay on my face, but I saw this mask at the health food store so I am giving it a trial. Cant wait to see my husbands face when he gets home

09.01.2022 Here is my latest experiment: magnesium body butter. Due to the health benefits of magnesium oil. I decided to make a magnesium body butter. Body butters are great, specially if you have dry skin. I used cocoa butter, avocado oil, magnesium oil, vitamin E and added lemongrass, marjoram and peppermint essential oils. ... To make it "fluffy", you can place it in the fridge to cool down, then use a hand mixer/beater to get the nice feel and look of it. Do you use body butters? Have you made one yourself? We would love to hear what you think.

09.01.2022 May your day be filled with joy! From us to you!

09.01.2022 Today I have written our last newsletter to let our customers know that we are phasing out our business and will probably say goodbye at the end of the year. It has been a wonderful rollercoaster. I have truly enjoyed over 5 years of educating and sharing my passion for natural products. If you are part of our mail list, you will receive our newsletter this afternoon.... I cannot THANK YOU enough for being here, helping me and my business flourish. It is SAD to say GOODBYE, but also exciting for new opportunities to come in 2020. Please feel free to connect with me via our email and here.

09.01.2022 Happy Monday!! Some people took notice of my note and email. This is the last week to order until the end of October. Stock is running low, but I am hoping to fulfill orders until the 16/9/18 or until stock lasts. We will have brand new batches then. Enjoy spring without the stink. We also have a beautiful serum that will help your skin glow. All handmade with organic ingredients.

09.01.2022 When I first chose what essential oil to use in our deodorant, sweet orange came to mind for its refreshing aroma and the ability to uplift your spirit. Andrea from the #aromaheadinstitute describes it so well. It is the perfect oil to ease tension, release muscle tension, support the immune system, lift your mood.

07.01.2022 Did you know there are 2 types of Epsom salts? A natural source and a man made one!! I had no idea. If you would like to know more or would like to know how I make my detoxifying footbath, join me at our private group: simple changes to natural living. I am about to do a video about it.

07.01.2022 We would like to thank you for an amazing year. For your support in our small family business. We wish you a safe festive season. We are taking a break from the 21/12/18 til 3/1/19. Happy 2019!!

06.01.2022 Have some FRESH AIR!! Here are some things you can cut out of your life: * Car Air Fresheners * Plug in air fresheners... * Synthetic scented candles * Synthetic melts * Fragrance sticks * Wall-mounted air fresheners * Automatic air freshener dispensers * Fabric Softeners * Spray air fresheners *** Start your day by opening the windows for some fresh air. Diffuse some natural essential oils. Better for your health and the environment. ** Which of those synthetic "smells" are you willing to let go? Photo by it's me neosiam

04.01.2022 It takes a loooong time to get the right moisturiser. I test the consistency, make sure I am in love with all the ingredients, check the PH before adding a natural preservative. This one has jasmine essential oil. Great for those that love a floral scent.

03.01.2022 Do you wear make up to the gym?

02.01.2022 I am not sure how this work, but I am always trying to find ways to use my essential oils. I found some Banksia cones at the beach last weekend so I am experimenting with it. A few drops of essential oil into the holes. If it works, I will place them in my cupboard, shoe rack, car, etc. Have you tried this before? Have you found a natural way to freshen up your cupboard or car? I would love to hear what you have tried.

01.01.2022 Happy Easter everyone. If you feel like giving a gift that is not chocolate this Easter, check out these Easter themed bath bombs I made using chocolate mold. They are just bath bombs that I have painted with a mixture of mica and melted cocoa butter. ... I sent them as a gift for my kids' teacher. Have you got an alternative to chocolate eggs?

01.01.2022 When you add some amazing carrier oils and butters to the addition of nourishing essential oils, your skin will THANK YOU! I also LOVE Myrrh. What essential oils have you found that have helped your skin? I always reach for Tea Tree when I have any blemishes or skin infections.
