25.01.2022 We're back in our local Community. Our BBQ Trailer and Marquee having it's first outing since March 2020. Hopefully now that we have released the brakes we will be in action 2nd Saturday of each month at IGA Marshalltown Road and The Good GUYS every 3rd Saturday monthly. We ask that Customer as like our staff/members adhere to the COVID conditions that we operate under. Our Staff/members will sauce your sausages and retain 1.5 personal space.... We now have Credit Card facilities for your purchases, which we are in learning phase of using. See more

20.01.2022 Early shift at Bunnings 8am till 10am a bit slow but we are expecting a rush sometime.

18.01.2022 Our Club is helping the Staff at IGA Marshalltown Road GROVEDALE this Thursday, which is IGA'S monthly Market Day, with running a BBQ, by providing our BBQ Trailer,Marquee and we are supplying a couple of Members on each shift, for a very versatile special purpose. Initially, Lion Member Graeme was asked if the Club would allow IGA Staff to use our Marquee for the Day, but once we found out the full details, all members volunteered to assist, such a worthy cause. The cause i...s to assist the Staff raise funds for a little 7 year old girl who is in need of a KIDNEY transplant, who along with her 2 brothers, are under the care of their Grandparents, who will have to not only bear any cost involved with the transplant but the ongoing medical needs. Unfortunately we were not able to fit all Members on the Rosters, but none the less those that are on the Roster will represent Lions and our Club with great pride. If you are in the area and feeling like a cold drink or a sausage, call into IGA Marshalltown Road this Thursday,21st January, between 8am and 2pm and support this wonderful cause, or even just make a small donations. All food and drinks having been donated it means that all the takings, and donations, on the day will be going to " THE RUBY CAUSE" please support us.

05.01.2022 Today we assisted the Staff from IGA in their fund raising efforts for a little 7 year old girl named Ruby. Ruby is in need of a Kidney transplant, and along with her two siblings, are cared for by their Grandparents. Lion Graeme was asked last week,if the Lions Club would loan one of our Marquees to the IGA Staff, so that they could run a BBQ at IGA Marshalltown Road,Grovedale today. Not only did the members agree to loan the Marquee but also offered to set up and use the Cl...ub's BBQ Trailer and provide staff throughout the day. Bay FM advertised the Day,IGA supplied all drinks and foodstuffs, Tubby Mowers from Norlane provided raffle prizes, to be drawn tomorrow and our Club provided Staff,BBQ and Marquee plus made a generous donation to see the total todate raise in excess of $2,300.00, to assist Ruby's Grandparents with ongoing costs for Ruby. Today those of us that took part in the day, meet Ruby and her Grandparents and siblings some for the first time and all were impressed with the whole family . Today only reinforced and rewarded us as to why we join a Lions Club and that we can make just a little difference at times to somepeoples lives, even if it is just little. Ruby's Grandparents,and IGA, Bay FM staff were all very thankful for Lion Members,and theClub support. IGA gave our Club magnificent support during November December by being our largest sales outlet for our ChrIstmas Cake and Puddings.
