23.01.2022 People have been asking if there will be a show this year. Yes, there will be a show, and it will be on November 1st. Our good friends at Mount Barker District Council have pledged their support along with Shannons. The bands are booked and the first draft of the Covid safe plan has been drawn up. Our research has discovered that motorcyclists tend to ride at least 1.5m apart and rarely hug each other so, with a bit of social distancing on the day, we will have a show. Spread the word and we will see you on the first Sunday in November as long as the Covid situation remains static.

21.01.2022 Macclesfield invites you to the Adelaide Hills to enjoy a day filled with everything motorcycles! Bike show, swap meet, live music, BBQ, bar, coffee and desserts. Bikes of all ages, makes and nationalities are welcome. See you next weekend!

21.01.2022 Only two weeks to go until the 2020 bike show! Due to Covid-19, the event will be limited to 1000 people at a given time but will include all the usual festivities: Bike exhibits, swap meet, live music, food and drink. We'll see you at the Macclesfield oval! Gates open at 9.

19.01.2022 There's still time to let your motorcycle-enthusiast friends and family know about this year's bike show... See you this weekend!

17.01.2022 People keep asking if there is a show this year. Our answer is a resounding YES! We are working through the details of the COVD Management Plan and Mount Barker District Council are with us along with Shannon's, Harley Bike Works, and SA Live Music Club. We are taking a lot of calls from bike riders with cabin fever who just want to go somewhere. We are pulling together a list of swap-meet stalls now so it's time to clear the shed and book in to turn it into cash.... #bike #triumph #event #mountbarker #hills #harley #honda #indianmotorcycleridersgroup See more

16.01.2022 The process of registering the COVID management plan isn't very easy... We are on version 3A now and SA Health want more detail and more COVID marshals. Whilst we appreciate the need to avoid an outbreak we are running out of time so we have a plan B. Less than 1000 visitors only requires a COVID safe plan so, if we can't get full authority in time for the show, we will carefully count the people coming in and shut the gate when we get to 999. After that we will count those leaving and let in a few to replace them. It will be tricky but 999 is better than nothing - don't be late!

16.01.2022 Just two weeks to go and we have just collected the prize bottles from our good friends at Bleasdale vineyard. The label shows Sticky Potts on his motorcycle in 1932. They are keen to know what bike it is. They think it's a BSA. Can you help identify it? #BSA #Bleasdale #Bikeshow #Lions #Potts

12.01.2022 The weather is beautiful & there are plenty of bikes to see & traders to visit or grab a bargain at the lion's shed The bands are sounding great.

12.01.2022 The grass on Macclesfield oval has been tested and it supports a 200kg Triumph on side and centre stand so we are looking good for Sunday. There will be some wood available for any really heavy bikes or riders who need them but it looks like most will be just fine. The weather is booked and it will a beautiful day.

11.01.2022 The weather for the show will be Sunny and 23C. That means the show is on, so here are the house rules to make sure we keep on the right side of the COVID plan. We can only allow 1000 visitors at any one time but as people leave we can let more in. If you arrive late, and can't get in, a trip to the hills is never wasted; check out the Macclesfield Hotel and the Three Brothers Arms or nip to Strathalbyn to check out the Robin Hood next to the Kenny Blake memorial or the Moto...r Museum. Traders (with one assistant) will be allowed in from 7.30am to set up and the public will be allowed in at 9am so the traders can set up in peace. The bargains will still be there when you get in so don't fret. There will be hand sanitiser stations throughout and each trader is required to have hand sanitiser on their stall for public use. Anyone handling cash is to sanitise their hands/gloves after each transaction. Anyone serving food or drink is required to wipe down all surfaces with disinfectant at least once per hour (on the hour) with a very high level of cleanliness throughout. Social distancing is all the rage and dancing is not allowed. Most of our customers are happy to comply with both of those restrictions. If you want to be in the show and shine grab a display card from the Shannon's stand and put it on your bike. Prizes will be presented at 2.30pm and you should be home for dinner. #robinhood #threebrothers #macclesfieldhotel #gilbertsmotormuseum #kennyblake See more

10.01.2022 What a cracking day we had. The weather was perfect and the bikes arrived in droves, which meant some people had to wait outside until others went out the exit but they understood the need to keep to the COVID rules. The sizzle was flat out along with the bar, the coffee, and the canteen so everyone was fed and watered in double quick time. Battunga Country Lions thank Mount Barker District Council, Shannon's Insurance, Adelaide Harley Davidson Bike Works, and Bleasdale Viney...ard for their support. Maccy Footy Club, Maccy Cricket Club, The Men's Shed and all the Lions on the sizzle covered the catering and the lads from the CFS kept us safe at our community event. The good people from Williams Syndrome SA staffed the gates and counted them all in and out. Most of all we thank all of our wonderful visitors for making it a great day. You are all invited to do it all again on Sunday November 7th 2021. #bikeshow #macclesfield #Lions #williamssyndrome #gentlemansride #dgr2020 #ridesolo See more

10.01.2022 We are really pulling the gang together for the show this year and our good friends at Harley Bike Works are supporting us again. If you didn't rev a Harley on the rolling road last year you can do it this year with no risk of falling off. The weather is warming up so it's time to dig the bike out and get it ready because November 1st will soon be here. #harley #bike ride #hills #triumph #ducati #motorbike #day out #blokes

08.01.2022 The weather is starting to warm up (in between howling gales and torrential rain) so you need to make sure you're ready for your ride to the Lions Bike Show. The Classic Owners Club of SA are running Motorcycle Ride Week from October 4th. That will get you back on the road and we look forward to seeing you all at Macclesfield on November 1st.

05.01.2022 The stage is set and we are ready for the show tomorrow. See you in the morning.
