18.01.2022 Sometimes we Lions think that what we do is not appreciated this story may change your mind two members from the Pambula-Merimbula Lions help out a fire affecte...d resident Well Done Rick and Peter. Today Peter & I had a great day and felt really good after we chatted for quite a while to Stefan over a cuppa he had made for us. That was after we had unloaded all the tools & assembled the SS workbench. Stefan was very excited about all the gear & most appreciative for what had been donated to him. He was like a child unwrapping presents at Christmas. We found his little patch no worries, deep in the bush, his lovely home that he had built on the hilltop was just a skeleton, everything charred. Stefan was a Myotherapist and originated from Germany. He was an MD and had a library of medical books, naturally all destroyed. He told us quite a bit about himself, he has had a very interesting life. Stefan is now 70, but very active. I think the task of re building is still a bit daunting to him, however he seemed to still have a very positive and determined attitude and very grateful for what people have done for him. He gave us a stubbie each of James Squire Four Wives Pilsner in appreciation. No doubt I will visit him again some time. It was a pleasure helping such a nice man. We hope you like the pics. # 1 & 2 In keeping with social distancing, measured out our 1.5m separation !!!! # 3 Val would agree, probably Peters best angle. I could hear him saying some Hail Marys. # 4 & 5 Job completed and Stefan very grateful. You will notice in the background the remnants of Stefans home. His new timber posted shelter is made of Stringy Bark from his own property which has been cut & stripped clean of burnt bark.

08.01.2022 PRIVATE SESSION PROGRAMS RESUMED We have commenced our Private Session Programs for new customers wishing to have their pups trained in our Kindergarten Puppy P...rograms and for those older pups/dogs in our Basic Obedience Programs. These sessions will be limited to two venues only. Outdoors at Oakleigh East and Gasworks Park on Saturday mornings and Indoors at Hoochy Poochy Doggy Daycare, Abbotsford, Saturday mornings, Wednesday and Thursday evenings. For more info, go to https://dogtraining.com.au/contact/ The information on outdoor gatherings that was printed last Thursday stated Personal Training outdoors can occur but with a limit of two participants including the instructor We have researched further and found this was wrong. The correct rule states: Personal training outdoors can occur but with a limit of two participants, in addition to the instructor.(for more detail go to the DHHS website https://www.dhhs.vic.gov.au/sport-and-exercise-metropolitan). Therefore, at our outdoor facilities as of now we will be allowing two pups with one handler per pup for our Private Puppy Programs and two dogs with one handler per dog for our Private Basic Obedience Programs. This will enable us to add distraction training and sociability exercises such as meetngreet which is integral to our group sessions. For our indoor facility at Hoochy Poochy Doggy Day-care, Abbotsford, we can still only have one handler per pup at any one time. However, to enable sociability exercises, our 30 minute session will be broken down with 20 minutes indoors for the core of the training and then 10 minutes out doors with the next rostered pup and handler for the sociability component before that handler and pup moves indoors for their 20 minutes core part of the training. We believe this will provide the best possible balance for your pups during their critical period of development (birth 16 weeks of age). When restrictions are lifted, we will implement our pre-COVID-19 programs. If you have any queries, please contact us 9877 6522 or email: [email protected]
