25.01.2022 Great memories of Gudrun visiting South Vermont Lions Club.

24.01.2022 A Patch of Purple at South Vermont - Lou’s LCIF Challenge A month ago Lou Onley challenged all Lions to donate to Lions Clubs International Foundation (LCIF) and if you donated, you were able to nominate a colour and at the end of the challenge, he would dye his hair the colour which was most nominated by Lions from the donations. Well the results are in that colour was PURPLE. Many thanks go to all Lions for their donations which were over $10,000 in support of LCIF Austr...alia - impacting lives through a range of humanitarian service projects and grants. A great result Lou - you are truly helping Lions make a difference in our community. Apparently Lou has become a global overnight sensation, receiving a call from LCIF International Head Office in the USA, seeking his endorsement to promote this fundraising challenge to Lions clubs around the globe.

20.01.2022 Great to see Maxie graduate!

13.01.2022 An exciting update!

08.01.2022 It is with great pleasure and a little sadness that Maxie the Tenterfield Terrier Hearing Dog our club has sponsored for the past year is now fully trained up and raring to go. He will be off to a much needed new owner and some warmer weather in Queensland. We are confident that Maxie will make a massive difference to his hearing impaired recipient’s independence and freedom. A Lions Hearing Dog is a type of assistance dog specifically selected and trained to assist people wh...o are deaf or hard of hearing by alerting their handler to important sounds, such as doorbells, smoke alarms, ringing telephones, or alarm clocks. They may also work outside the home, alerting their handler to sounds such as sirens, forklifts, and a person calling the handler's name. Thank you all for supporting the hearing dog program. Maxie was our 3rd dog sponsorship and I would like to think that once we are back into fundraising activities we again consider allocating some of those funds to sponsoring our 4th dog.
