The caravan industry was a billion dollar industry . With every caravan and camping show gone a lot of exhibitors will be lost in the next few months . My company has set up a pop shop stall this week at the Port Coogee shopping centre WA to survive these hard times and help people that may want to still get away . With borders shutting each day . It is getting harder and harder to know what to do . For now, our beaches will remain open however... things have changed in line with new government legislation to protect our community from the threat of novel coronavirus (COVID-19). So when you venture out to your favourite coastal outlook, please remember, you are only permitted on the beach if you are performing some form of exercise whether it be to go for a swim or surf, walking the dog or otherwise. Those who are on the beach sunbaking, sitting, reading, or gathering together to eat or socialise will be asked to move on. Unless you are at the beach to exercise, you are in breach of current legislation and may attract a $1334 fine. We ask that all Sunshine Coast residents please comply with social distancing by staying 1.5 metres apart. Police and lifeguards are monitoring beach goers up and down the coastline so, please, do the right thing. Together, we can minimise the impact of coronavirus. - Sunshine Coast Council
