18.01.2022 This is 12 year old Bailey. He was diagnosed with Acute Myeloid Leukaemia last year 13/11/19 Relapsed on the 13/10/20... He is in hospital and his current protocol is designed by oncologists in collaboration with international specialists to have a reduced time frame bone marrow transplant. His family has been told the prognosis is poor but are willing to fight for whatever chance they have to help Bailey. Logan- Bailey’s 4yr old brother - is the only bone marrow match found after searching the registry. He is a 10/10 match. He will be admitted Monday 30th November for his procedures and this family will have both their sons in hospital for those few days. After that Logan will return home and Bailey will remain in hospital. They hope to see engraftment in the weeks after transplant and will know at that time if it has been successful. We have delivered Lisa’s Lunches to Bailey’s family today and once before but with this delivery I added some adult Lisa’s Lunches for these long hospital stays . Mum & dad need looking after too. Thanks for sharing your journey with us Bailey. All of us at Lisa’s Lunches are thinking of you and really hope your transplant goes well
