25.01.2022 I get asked constantly how to make bread rolls in the Thermomix and how to get an end result with a fluffy bread roll. I’ve had many messages from people asking for tips because their rolls are like rock cakes! So.....tomorrow I will film the technique I use. We all know sausage rolls are very much a ‘sometime food’ so the healthier we can make them the better! These sausage rolls will surprise even the biggest meat meaters. 07.01.2022 Beef curry from scratch! Making curry pastes is something I didn’t do pre buying my Thermomix. I didn’t really understand the depths of flavour until I had my Thermomix. Fast forward....and I haven’t bought a pre made sauce base in years! This beef curry is my favourite. I make the curry paste in the Thermomix and then add to the slow cooker with my meat. If I compare this to a packet mix of McCormick beef curry, I am SO GLAD that my curry does not include the sugar, thicke...ners 1442, 415, colour 150c, acidity regulator, anti caking agent and ‘natural flavour’ in it. You will never regret cooking from scratch in your Thermomix. The flavour is superior every time! #thermomix #thermomixconsultant #tm6

06.01.2022 Thermomix stock paste! If you have been following my page for a while, you will have heard me talk about my LOVE of homemade stock pastes. This ‘liquid gold’ as I like to call it, plays a BIG role in my cooking. Filled with actual veggies and herbs this makes any meal / or soup taste amazing! Here’s the important points to know! ... This stock paste will save you a fortune if you are buying liquid stock from the supermarket. Don’t buy stock cubes from the supermarket filled with everything except veggies and herbs. I grow my own herbs (sage, basil, parsley and rosemary) so much cheaper than buying. If a recipe calls for salt, add your stock paste instead! Today my Thermomix will be busy in the background re-filling staples for my freezer. 05.01.2022 Tonight’s Saturday night #fakeaway is Skinnymixer’s creamy Tuscan prawn linguini from the cookbook ‘A little taste of Italy’. I made a few changes tonight as I misplaced my recipe and a friend helped me out 3/4 of the way through. So I blitzed my spinach and had double the amount of sundried tomatoes, but it turned out beautifully. I never bother with the wine and just use stock instead. My top tips for your tandoori paste... You can buy Kashmiri powder from your Indian grocer for this recipe. It’s very mild. Don’t worry about making garlic and ginger pastes, just blitz the quantities of each and add to the recipe. Store your tandoori in 90g portions in the freezer to make it nice and easy to grab out the exact amount for the curry. This recipe makes enough for 7x 90g portions.
