25.01.2022 Merry Christmas to our LiteHaus family all around the world. 2020 has been a challenging year but one which we have relished, digitising dreams and continuing to bridge digital divide at home and abroad. We couldn’t have done it without you.

25.01.2022 We are looking forward to hearing Jack speak at this fantastic event on Sunday!

24.01.2022 The LiteHaus Family in Brisbane enjoyed a wonderful evening last night celebrating our partnership with Sir Brian Bell Foundation and the incredible outcomes we are working towards in Papua New Guinea. We were thrilled to have our Patron, His Excellency John Kali CMG OBE join us. Thank you to our Chairman, Dr Nathan Groenhout, and his lovely family for hosting us all so well.

24.01.2022 How wonderful to have the LiteHaus family all together to celebrate a momentous occasion! More to come

24.01.2022 We enjoyed a momentous occasion on Saturday as our newly-reformed board of directors met for the first time, with an emphasis on developing our Strategic Plan for 2021-2023. We look forward to introducing you to the superb team we have built who will drive us towards digitising a million dreams.

23.01.2022 In June, we visited Ravenshoe State School P-12 to provide 25 students with a personal digital device. Access to digital education is most often not a reality for rural, regional and remote young Queenslanders. We will be back in the Tablelands soon to digitise more dreams.

22.01.2022 On the road to Cape York! The boys are all ready to hit the dirt all the way up to the tip of Australia to deliver 50 digital devices to Northern Peninsula Area State College students. Thank you to AECOM for making this possible!

22.01.2022 Empowered by the incredible support of AECOM in September we were able to travel 1,500km to the northernmost tip of Australia to provide personal digital devices to 50 Indigenous students at the Northern Peninsula Area State College. We are passionate about bridging the digital divide so this journey digitising dreams in very remote Australia was a highlight of our year.

21.01.2022 Our Remote Learning Program has digitised dreams for more than 200 students across rural, regional and remote Queensland in the last six months. It all began with A2O Traffic Solutions' donation of $5,000 which saw 30 students from Cairns, Gordonvale and Tec-NQ in Townsville receive their own personal digital device.

20.01.2022 Our superstar Refurbishment Lead, Hari Senthuran, spent last Sunday preparing 50 digital devices for students at Northern Peninsula Area State College. The digital divide is widest in very remote Australia, so we are thrilled to be able to deliver these devices to the northernmost tip of Australia on a journey made possible by the generous support of AECOM.

17.01.2022 Remember young Jack Wells? He cut his long hair off and raised $700 for us last year. Now he’s donating $5 for every goal he kicks this footy season, which older Jack is going to match. After watching his first game today, it’s going to be a big tally. What a champion

17.01.2022 Today we collected over $5,000 worth of end-of-life digital equipment from Townsville Business Development Centre and DakTech. Through our Digital Inclusion Program, we will be converting potential e-waste into opportunities for the future leaders of North Queensland thanks to the support of these local businesses and others such as External IT, OnBoard I.T. Pty Ltd, and The Computer Workshop Townsville who have all contributed generously.

15.01.2022 Another weekend, another delivery of digital devices in rural North Queensland. A quarter of the students at Ravenshoe State School P-12 have now received a personal digital device from us since May, which the Deputy Principal insists is inspiring minds and broadening their horizons. We even bumped into a cassowary on the way up the Palmerston!

15.01.2022 At LiteHaus we love a big cheque, and this one is pretty special. Hearing about our Remote Leaning Program, launched when Queensland students needed to study from home during the COVID 19 pandemic - this group of mates got together & challenged themselves to help us. They committed to donating $1 for every kilometre they run in the space of a month. With a starting goal of $5000, today they have donated $9506 which will provide 50 students in Ravenshoe, Cairns and Townsville with digital devices. Well done boys!

15.01.2022 Our monitoring and evaluation trip across our eight Western Highlands Province partner schools has highlighted an impact which we did not anticipate when we began this journey. Cr Peter Raim, our Country Director (PNG), has reported that since 2018, our partner schools have undertaken a total of $180,000 of built infrastructure work as a direct result of being inspired and motivated by our donations of digital equipment. Much of this investment has been made in the form of purpose-built computer labs which will safely and efficiently house our donated digital infrastructure for years to come.

14.01.2022 Meet Rachael! She has just commenced as our Administration Lead, leading a team of four whose role is to ensure that our passion is always matched with process. Rachael comes from Central Province in PNG, and is studying her final year of law and international relations. She has already proven to be a great asset to our vision of digitising dreams and bridging the digital divide.

14.01.2022 Today began with a busy morning at one end of the state in Brisbane collecting 20 devices from Project YUMI and finished in the afternoon with our Townsville team picking up 50 monitors from The Computer Workshop Townsville. If you or your business has a digital device to donate, please let us know!

14.01.2022 Our Founder, Jack Growden, met with Meredith Staib, Queensland CEO of the Royal Flying Doctor Service of Australia, in Brisbane this week to explore the potential for partnership with a genuine Australian icon of generosity and innovation. While our organisations were founded 90 years apart, we share the same passion and commitment to rural, regional and remote Australians. Discussions centred around how RDFS could help us lift off to digitise dreams for future leaders in some of the country’s most remote communities.

13.01.2022 We are delighted to announce that our Founder, Jack Growden, is Queensland Community Foundation's Emerging Philanthropist of the Year for 2020. Given he is busy digitising dreams in Cape York, former Treasurer, Anne Growden accompanied board members, Verena Coombe and Nathan Groenhout to collect his award from Parliament House in Brisbane.

12.01.2022 We are thrilled and humbled to have received $10,000 from AECOM to support our Remote Learning Program! Their profound generosity will empower us to provide 50 personal digital devices to students in remote Cape York. In keeping with our genuine commitment to rural, regional and remote Queenslanders, we will personally make the 1,500km journey to deliver the devices with a smile. Thank you AECOM for digitising dreams and empowering Indigenous future leaders!

11.01.2022 Happy 45th Independence Day PNG! On this day in 2017, Jack Growden donated his personal laptop to the Kuta Primary School and the following day, founded LiteHaus to follow through on his promise to establish a computer lab at the school. You're familiar with all that happened next...and we have more exciting news in PNG on the way shortly!

10.01.2022 Jack and Chloe, pictured here with one of our valued donors, Bryce Szandro from Next Gen 3D Dreams, represented us at Rotary Club of Townsville Saints’ Derby Day function today. The wonderful ladies at Saints have been great supporters of our vision for bridging the digital divide.

09.01.2022 Happy International Women's Day to the more than 5,000 young women across three continents whose lives have been enriched and empowered by digital access. Equal opportunity in the digital age starts with digital equality, so to the many, incredible women within our organisation who have made this impact on the lives of these future leaders possible, we say thank you.

08.01.2022 Our local champion, Peter Raim is on a tour of our eight primary school computer labs in PNG. At Kumdi Primary School, he was delighted to see that the school had taken the initiative to upgrade the computer room infrastructure. With the laptops momentarily on the shelf during renovations after almost two years of consistent use, the students have been completing ICT theory lessons and tests. Well done Kumdi!

07.01.2022 The LiteHaus story has always been and continues to be interwoven through the Townsville community. We are lucky to count on the support of Estates FC who are donating all of their recyclable cans and bottles to our revenue-generating recycling program. You will rarely find a sporting club more committed to its community than this one in South Townsville.

07.01.2022 Lately, we have been celebrating some of our finest volunteers - people who have contributed incalculable hours to help bridge the digital divide and digitise dreams. Few typify the spirit of LiteHaus more than Luke Wakeham. A founding board member, he has done it all, leading the establishment of three computer labs in PNG, running every day for a month in a fundraiser he launched, delivering devices to the tip of Australia, and recycling thirty tons of scrap steel and over 30,000 cans and bottles for the cause. Doing it all in his free time with a smile and a laugh, 'Wakes' is an inspiring young Australian who we are proud to call our own.

06.01.2022 LAST CHANCE TO DOUBLE YOUR DONATION! Make a donation through the link below and AMP Foundation will match you dollar for dollar. Help us digitise dreams this Christmas. https://ampfoundation.catalyser.com/

06.01.2022 PNG we are back! These two pallets are carrying all the digital learning infrastructure required to establish another FOUR computer labs in the Western Highlands, 11 long months after our last one. This means that by the end of 2020, our impact will have grown to 12 functional labs providing more than 11,000 students with access to digital learning opportunities. COVID-19 may have delayed us, but it was never going to stop us on our mission bridging the digital divide in PNG.

05.01.2022 The smiles say it all! Yesterday we had the pleasure of visiting the homes of some of our Digital Inclusion Program recipients from Townsville State High School, supported by Ergon Energy. All of these families have been displaced from their homelands in Congo, Burundi and Central African Republic, arriving in Australia with often very low English competency. We visited their homes today to set up their devices and ensure that language does not persist as a barrier to digital engagement.

05.01.2022 Job done! 50 digital devices in the hands of Indigenous future leaders at Northern Peninsula Area State College thanks to the profound generosity of AECOM! More photos of happy smiling faces from that day coming soon.

03.01.2022 A successful year digitising dreams across Queensland has only been possible thanks to our incredible volunteers. Lachlan Parker has been with LiteHaus since the very beginning and can still recall preparing stationery kits for our first donation in 2017. Nowadays, he contributes across our fundraising, engagement and technical realms, and is one of our great allrounders. Passionate about the power of education, Lachie has delivered digital devices to future leaders in the Burdekin, Tablelands and Cairns regions and is always running around town connecting the dots through the week. 03.01.2022 We made it to the top of Australia thanks to AECOM. Proof that we will go to the ends of the Earth to bridge the digital divide.

03.01.2022 Exciting news is never too far away at LiteHaus. I am very humbled to have been named as one of three Finalists for Queensland Community Foundation’s 2020 Emerging Philanthropist of the Year Award. I firmly believe that one’s true net worth lies within what they choose to give and I am blessed at LiteHaus International to be surrounded by a family of like-minded individuals, to whom much of the credit for this wonderful recognition is owed. Credit must also be disbursed to Mum and Dad whose profound sense of generosity found its way into my veins and set me off on this journey of philanthropy which I adore every day of my life. - Jack Growden

02.01.2022 2020 - for us it has been a year of adversity met with vigorous generosity resulting in immense success and impact. Without our tireless volunteers, our corporate partners, and those of you who gave generously to supporters running or kicking goals for the cause, hundreds of students across Queensland would have remained on the unfortunate side of the digital divide. Students from as far apart as Cape York and Africa benefited from access to digital learning tools, while our organisation grew threefold. We especially look forward to returning with a bang to Papua New Guinea in 2021 after COVID-19 made further digital infrastructure development temporarily difficult. Stay tuned for some massive announcements in the coming weeks, however for now, we wish you all a Happy New Year!

02.01.2022 Almost a year has passed since we launched our Digital Inclusion Program to address the digital divide across rural, regional and remote Queensland. A2O Traffic Solutions have played a special part in our history and were the first to give generously and make possible this program, which has now provided 479 future leaders across the state with their own personal digital device. It is companies who are committed to their community like A2O Traffic Solutions that enable us to digitise dreams.

01.01.2022 All smiles this morning! Remember young Jack Wells who was donating $5 for every goal he kicked in his AFL Townsville season? Well he had a fantastic season and today handed over $115 to his mate and our Founder, Jack. Our former Treasurer, Anne, matched him dollar for dollar. This brings young Jack’s total giving to our cause to almost $1,000 - an amazing achievement for a young man at 10 years of age. We are so blessed to count such community-minded people amongst our LiteHaus family!
