03.01.2022 Join us on a 2020 Adventure Cruise and visit such places as Vansittart Bay and the almost intact plane wreck. On the 26th of February 1942, during World War II, a DC3 running low on fuel had to perform an emergency landing on the mudflats at Vansittart Bay. Only 22 passengers were taken by tender to all the nooks and crannies and looked after very safely. The food was excellent, the on shore excursions needed to burn off some of it!
