It is an ultrasound of the heart Why echo test is done? It provides images of heart’s valves & chambers so that doctors can see how your heart is working. This test has been around for a long time and quality of images with new technology continues to improve Can Echo test detect heart blockages? Patients own masks are welcomed. This applies to adults ONLY not children ... Dear All, Please be advised that as of today LCP Theatre Schedule is back at 100% for elective surgery this includes Dental and Ear, Nose and Throat (ENT) Surgery.... The restoration on elective surgery has been a slow and gradual one led by national cabinet and NSW Health on how much and what type of surgery allowed. Thank you to the community for their patience, understanding and commitment in stopping/slowing the spread of the virus. 05.01.2022 Humans of Lithgow Community Private series Clive Sargeant Ultrasound Services (cardiovascular) My name is Clive Sargeant marred with 2 children (both teachers) and I reside in NSW Australia ... I finished my echo training in 1980. My initial work involved examinations at a geriatric hospital which exposed me to many cardiac abnormalities and co-morbidities. I spent over 2 years in London and worked at the Cardio-vascular laboratory of 66 Harley Street and the London Heart Clinic Upon returning to Australia, I accepted the position as coordinator of electro medical services at Nepean Hospital which then was transforming into a teaching hospital status My first duties were performing many echo Doppler studies on neonates and then adult in ICU Cardiology Organising the echo service for both I have caught the skills of echo/Doppler to Registrars, nurses and technicians in Australia and overseas My wife Mary is my assistant Mary was a Registered Nurse in England for many years She completed her training at St Mary’s Hospital Paddington and worked at other major hospitals. Mary worked for 23 years in acute care 10 of those as Nurse in charge in post operative care unit Mary has now retired from nursing since moving to Australia We both over the last 17 years have thoroughly enjoyed serving the community of Lithgow and surrounding communities preparing patients for their surgery and ensuring best possible ultrasounds of the heart were taken for best patient outcomes and quality lives We believe the echo service we supply with Dr John England will continue to benefit the Lithgow Community and surrounding communities Stay Safe Everyone, see you at your next visit *(Referrals accepted) See more
