25.01.2022 EDIT Thanks to an efficient telecommunications technician that saw our post, we are now online (phones, internet and eftpos all working). To add to the debacle of Lithgows water pipe problem, in trying to repair a pipe they have ripped up the phone cables, so we have no phone, internet or (most annoyingly) eftpos. We are managing with a diversion to our mobiles for phone, and hotspot from our mobiles for internet (still no NBN available for us - but thats a story for anothe...r day), and we have ordered a mobile eftpos terminal, but until that arrives its like the old days - cash only please. Telstra said the problem may be fixed by 26th February (they didnt specify which year). Well post an update when our mobile eftpos terminal arrives, or when the phone lines are fixed (my moneys on the new terminal winning that race). Thank you to our customers for their patience. 23.01.2022 After a very close call this afternoon, the yard survives another fire. We are so grateful to those at Brads Garage, Christian, DJ and team who took charge when we couldnt get through the road block. Once we finally were let through, the helicopters helped get it all under control. Still monitoring flare ups. In for a long night. Thank you to everyone who has rung and messaged in concern. And again, thanks to the firies, those in the air in particular.

21.01.2022 We are open our usual hours for the rest of this week and next week (except New Years Day), but will be closed for our annual holiday from 4th January and will re-open on 20th January, 2020. We hope everyone had a relaxing Christmas break. Hopefully, 2020 will bring rain and an end to the drought!

01.01.2022 Business as (un)usual. As the guidelines for dealing with the Covid-19 virus are changing daily, so too are our work practices. We are all adjusting to a new normal. We are still open, but have cordoned off part of our premises and will be asking customers to observe our new stricter distancing measures. Also, we are asking all of our parts purchasers to telephone before coming to our yard, to see whether we have the part you need, to save you the trip if we dont, and also ...to minimise unnecessary travel and social contact. Our mechanical and service customers already ring ahead for appointments, so this will continue - we also can still offer pick up and delivery locally, especially to aged or otherwise compromised customers who are self-isolating as a precaution. We have measures in place to protect our staff and our customers during delivery. Just ring and ask us about it. Obviously, we cant extend this service to those who are self-isolating or quarantined because of suspected exposure to the virus. These certainly are difficult times on so many levels, our health and the health of our loved ones being the number one priority. The government has put these measures in place for our own protection and we intend to adhere to them strictly. We thank you for your patience and ongoing support. We wish you good health and look forward to better times ahead.
