25.01.2022 Hi LCR members. One of our club jackets has been left behind at a local business. If youve lost your LCR jacket message us with your details and well try to reunite you!

24.01.2022 Our senior teams have continued their good form with strong results in todays matches. First up saw the local derby with Rangers taking on Workies 3rd grade at Marjorie Jackson fields early this morning. Rangers got off to a great start with Jayden Hardie and Chris Curran scoring early goals. This was followed shortly after by another goal from a great header by Ryan Sutor. Tim Gavin scored again and Rangers went into the half time break with a 4-0 lead... Workies hit back in the second half and brought the scoreline back to 4-2 but another great goal from Tim Gavin just before full time put the result beyond any doubt. Best on the field for LCR were Ryan Sutor, Tim Gavin and Jayden Hardie. Rangers also welcomed back Braden Coleman and Blake Sheil who had their first games today after an extended time on the sidelines due to injuries. The momentum carried forward to the 5th Grade game vs Redtops in Bathurst later this afternoon. The 5th grade line up was strengthened by the return of Connor Traish to the team after missing several weeks with a broken hand. LCR had the run of play in the first half with Ashley Featon-Horne opening the scoring to take Rangers to halftime with a 1-0 lead. Redtops came out in the second half with renewed vigour and scored two quick goals. Despite a number of heartbreaking near misses LCR were not able to regain the lead and went down 2-1 Coach Tony Della Bosca is thrilled with the progress that the LCR 5ths have made this season. For many of the team, 2019 was their first outing in senior football and now, in the 3rd round the young Rangers are on an equal footing with their more experienced rivals. Check out the photo page for some shots from todays game

19.01.2022 The club is extremely proud to have been a winner in the Lithgow City Council's Ability awards for 2020 in the "Sport / Health Wellbeing category. We are equally as proud that one of our senior players, Leyton Barker was a finalist in the Lithgow Ability Mastery Award individual category. Leyton was new to the club this season and right from the start impressed with his passion for the sport. It was a wonderful surprise to receive a message from the Mayor on Friday congratul...ating us on our win. Providing an inclusive, safe, friendly environment where people of all backgrounds and ability levels can participate in football is one of our club's key objectives, right from our youngest juniors through to the senior ranks. 2020 was an extremely challenging year and we feel very lucky to have been able to play at all. We also received a nomination in the COVID Innovation category recognising our efforts to stay in touch with our players and keep a focus on mental health issues that have been even more important this year. As we move into a hopefully brighter 2021 we are looking forward to expanding our options for players of all backgrounds, with our (and Lithgow's) first Women's team being entered in the Bathurst competition, maintaining our 4th grade team as an entry to senior football for players of all ability levels and raising the challenge for our more highly skilled players to move up to the 2nd division. You can check out Leyton's nomination video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sC-r4CPXy1s&feature=youtu.be and the club's nomination video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gYUS_yxCBWs&feature=emb_logo The full list of nominees and winners is on council's website https://council.lithgow.com/communi/lithgow-ability-awards/ The club would like to acknowledge the efforts of our hardworking coaches, managers and volunteers that put in all the work to make this possible.

13.01.2022 Lithgow Soccer association today held the grand finals for the 2020 season at the Marjorie Jackson Soccer complex. With 5 games being played overall in the competitive age groups the Rangers club participated in 4 games with mixed results. First U/12 white coached by Hippy Curran were in a playoff for 3rd place and showed a great team effort by winning a high scoring match. Next up were U/13 Black coached by Nigal Lloyd and they were in an arm wrestle for the entire match. Af...ter full-time and an extra 20 minutes the two teams could not be separated with the game finishing 1 all. After a penalty shoot out was required to separate the 2 teams unfortunately the Rangers team went down 3-1. Next up were U/14 White coached by Matthew Tattersall and the team produced a dominant performance to come out easy winners after the game concluded. Last up were U/15 Black coached by Tony Della Bosca and showed great team spirit but could not defeat the opposition and had to settle for runners up for 2020. A big thank you to all parents and supporters throughout the 2020 season and the committee looks forward to seeing everyone again next season bigger and better. See more

We have been given permission to resume training however there are quite a LOT of restrictions that we have to abide by to keep everyone safe. These have been set out by Football NSW and Bathurst and we must comply for the training to be approved.... There is a meeting tomorrow night in Lithgow about the Junior competition so watch this space for updates for the kids training sessions. Senior players need to get in touch with Paul for more details as we have to limit training sessions to groups of 10 so some scheduling will be required. There is an online meeting for senior players and their parents on Wednesday night. Again contact Paul for the login details. It will be challenging but the upside is that in some way we are returning to the field :)

If any of our coaches, players, supporters or their families have any questions about the new season please get in touch with Nigal or Paul. The club is disappointed at having to suspend our season preparations in our 50th Anniversary year. We have been thrilled at the positive attitude and enthusiasm our senior players have been showing and know that our juniors were all looking forward to the new season. We hope to be back on the field soon. In the mean time, where it is safe, work on your football skills and keep yourselves active so we are ready to go as soon as we get the word. On a serious note we urge you to heed the official advice on how to protect yourselves and your family in the current emergency. One of the things Rangers prides ourselves on is being a family club. 05.01.2022 The 2020 Senior Football season got underway today with the LCR 3rd Grade Mens team taking on Panorama FC at Bathurst. Rangers started strongly having the run of play in the early parts of the first half narrowly missing a number of chances with shots bouncing off the posts and the crossbar or hitting the side of the nets. The younger players joined 2 new members and the other experienced 3rd grade players to make up a new team that with some more match experience will be competitive with any team in the division. Our 4th grade team had a bye this week and are all looking forward to getting onto the field in their first game vs Oberon at Rangers Park next Sunday at 11am. Following this at 1pm 3rds will take on the always competitive Bathurst Athletic. Check out the 2020 photo album for a few shots from todays game

01.01.2022 The 2020 season wrapped up for Rangers with a series of "Socially Distant" presentations taking place during Saturday at the Wallerawang Community and Sports Club for our Junior and Senior teams. As we all know this year has been challenging in so many ways and the club is glad that we were able to enjoy some football despite everything else happening in the world around us. We want to thank the parents, carers, families and supporters who help get the players to the games ...each week. We also thank our hardworking volunteers, coaches and managers who make it possible for our players to enjoy their sport. A special shout out to our sponsors, who despite everything have continued to support the club.
