Encouraging Children’s awareness of sustainability and caring for the natural environment. Exploring scientific concepts in relation to gardening. Facilitating a sense of ownership as each child cares for their own individual flower. We can’t wait for our sunflower seeds to start sprouting! Stay tuned for an update!

19.01.2022 This week we revisited our dental hygiene interest following dental hygiene week last week. We discussed ways to care for our teeth as well as participating in a tooth brushing activity on the white board. Today we then extended on this by using the yoghurt lids as teeth and brushing off the marker pen with shaving foam as toothpaste that represented the plaque/and germs. It was such a hit!

This invitation to play garden set up is an extension on our gardening interest. Adding sensory materials including gum leaves, lavender, stones, loose tea leaves and play dough.
