We wish Jayde well as she heads into Year 12 exams after the holidays and we hope to have Jayde back later in the year when she completes schools. 06.01.2022 We have been celebrating Indigenous Literacy Day, with lots of stories. But perhaps one of the most special stories was read by a local author Breanna Humes. You can pre-order the book Bree wrote via Dymocks. https://www.dymocks.com.au//i-want-to-be-a-superhero-by-br

04.01.2022 Some things to keep in mind with young children.

04.01.2022 With distressing content circulating, it’s a good reminder that there are steps we can take to stay safe online. You can help young children stay safe online by...: Being with, and watching with, your child when they use devices, so you can supervise content and apps. Taking the time to play and be with your child, they may ask questions and share their worries. Limiting news coverage, and being aware of the conversations you have with other adults. Children tune in to body language and tone of voice. For more information, read the eSafety Commissioner’s guide > https://www.esafety.gov.au//skills-ad/online-safety-basics and the following tips for parents from Early Childhood Australia http://thespoke.earlychildhoodaustralia.org.au/tips-parent/ If your child has inadvertently seen something and/or you have any concerns, please reach out for support from: Kids Helpline - 1800 55 1800 - phone support is there all day, every day. Online support is open from 8am-midnight every day (AEST). Lifeline - 13 11 14 - phone support all day, every day. Online support 7pm-4am daily (AEST). Beyondblue - 1300 22 4636 - phone support all day, every day. Online support 3pm-midnight every day.
