19.01.2022 Channelling our inner Sloth by being a bit slow in celebrating International Sloth Day... which was yesterday What better way to acknowledge it than with our very own hand carved Sloth Cake! Made for our in-house Baby Sloth's 1st Birthday, this not-so-little dude sat at approx 35cm tall and was all hand carved, then filled and covered with a dark chocolate ganache. Special shout out to the members of the Australian Cake Decorating Network for choosing our little Slothie to win the 'People's Choice' award a few weeks ago, too! 07.01.2022 Death Star. A very happy birthday party was had when my number 1 and number 2 turned 7 and 6 withing a few weeks of each other. The theme was Star Wars and the brief was 'Something Epic'... Introducing this 10"x10" gravity defying chocolate mudcake, filled and coated with red vanilla buttercream, covered with vanilla sugarpaste and sugarpaste panels. All 100% edible, measured, cut and decorated by hand. Finished off with a couple of coats of edible spray paint and some green cachous for the laser. #littlebugandbear
