21.01.2022 It's the 30th Sept and the vines have finally burst their buds!!!! I think this is the latest budburst we've had, so thanks all for having a crack! The winner is Leila who had 1st Oct as her guess. The rank outsider has taken home the prize. Whoever would have thought!!

10.01.2022 It's now the 16th Sept and still no sign of budburst!! Vines think it's just too cold to pop their heads out!! That eliminates Peter, Jude, Nerida N, and Sab. Good luck to the 11 remaining!!
09.01.2022 Still no sign of any little green shoots I'm afraid. Last year budburst was on the 18th Sept! A few months ago people were worried about an early budburst but then winter came on with a vengeance. So, still we wait. Some of the vines are showing signs of "woolly bud" which means it can't be too far off now!!
07.01.2022 We’re having wine tastings at the vineyard today as part of Murrindindi Winemakers Week. It’s going to be a beautiful afternoon once the fog lifts! Autumn at Taggerty is the best time of year for a visit.

01.01.2022 The nets are on and now we wait for the grapes to ripen. It's been a slow cool summer so far and harvest will be later than the past few years. Plenty of time to develop complex flavours for a great wine vintage.
