24.01.2022 I love a good upcycling/renovating project! Unfortunately, I can't claim this one as my own but a huuuuge thanks to Kyle from Hampton Manor for giving our dated, dark wood TV unit a new lease on life. I could easily have discarded this piece of furniture - its dark colour didn't compliment our floorboards (bottom photo) and it most certainly wasn't to my taste anymore but I hate the idea of throwing something out or buying something brand new when it is still in great conditi...on and is made of quality, solid wood. Kyle stripped it back to reveal it's true colours and now it looks great (top photo)! Show me your upcycling/renovating projects. Because who doesn't love a good before and after pic...!?

18.01.2022 Did you know you can wash your Agreena silicone sheets in the washing machine?! That’s right.the washing machine! I don’t know about you but sometimes I feel like I have so much to do and not enough time that my head starts spinning! Little life hacks like this are a godsend and can help save your sanity!... Simply throw them in and walk away. Learn more here: https://littleecoshop.com.au/collections/vendors?q=Agreena (side note: avoid washing them with any sharp items like zips, buckles etc.)

17.01.2022 Did you know you can recycle your metal bottle caps? Start a little collection inside an aluminum soup can (or baked beans in this instance!). Once you get a little over half full, squeeze the can shut at the top so the caps can't fall out. I also put the can's metal disc lid and ring pull inside the can too.... The reason we can't recycle them loose is because they are so small that they fall between the gaps of the recycling machine conveyor belt. This trick will ensure they get recycled rather than ending up in landfill.

17.01.2022 If you're looking to make some simple earth-friendly swaps that won't eat into your monthly budget then consider one of these coconut scrubbers. Traditional sponges are made of polyurethane; a petroleum-based ingredient as well as other man-made materials. That essentially means most everyday sponges are made of plastic. They don't take long before they start to look tatty and shed bits of sponge as you wash causing microplastics to head straight into our waterways. Many pe...ople also like to throw them out regularly because they are haven for bacteria to grow. So what's the best alternative? There are plenty of natural fiber options out there. Choose from our coconut fiber scrub pads, coconut scourers, dish brushes or bottle brushes, bamboo veggie brushes, or cellulose and cotton dish cloths. All of which are natural, compostable, biodegradable, toxin free and naturally antibactieral. They are affordable and they last SO MUCH LONGER than traditional sponges.
