25.01.2022 There is a Superhero in all of us. We just need the courage to put the Cape on!

24.01.2022 On Thursday afternoon Chris introduced 3 new hens to our amazing yard and yesterday we found our first egg! They have a beautiful, new coop and our littleheroes will be responsible for collecting the eggs each morning. Scrambled eggs here we come

21.01.2022 Were lucky here at Littleheroes, all our Superheros are Dads. Oops, I mean all DADS are SUPERHEROES!! Happy fathers day to every wonderful dad out there!

19.01.2022 IMPORTANT MESSAGE FOR FAMILIES WHO HAVE A CHILD ENROLLED IN CHILD CARE: Whether youve lost your job or are keeping your child home to prevent the spread of cor...onavirus, please dont un-enrol your child. If youve lost your job or are working reduced hours, theres financial support you can access. Please dont just pull your child out of care. To access financial support, log on to MyGov and apply for temporary financial hardship (see below screenshot). This means the government may pay your childcare fees IN FULL for 13 weeks. If youre choosing to keep your child home, the government has extended the number of allowable absences that can be covered by the Child Care Subsidy (CCS). This may support you to keep your child home and still receive the CCS. Remember, keeping your child enrolled will help your child care service to continue paying educators. It will also ensure that your child care service doesnt go bankrupt and that you can return to work when our economy is ready to get back on track.

19.01.2022 Lets all do the right thing!

19.01.2022 Well it would seem that after celebrating Harmony Week, when we all come together to celebrate all cultures and their connectedness as Australians, we were thrown into the need to harmonise in our fight against COVID 19. Following the childrens interest in construction it occurred to me that we should celebrate some of our Essential Workers at this time. Obviously I couldnt include all of us, educators included, but we can offer the children a small insight into their val...ue at this difficult time. Keep safe and stay strong Australia, we can do this!!!!

18.01.2022 Got the lads on tools, building muscles, smelling the dirt and connecting with our wonderful, natural environment

17.01.2022 Want to put some beauty back in our lives? We planted some Lobelia flowers this week. From flowers to herbs to veges were always planting something here.

16.01.2022 Our children redesigned The Australian Flag during Reconciliation Week, much better than a Union Jack in the corner

16.01.2022 Thanks Flash, this is a great quote!!

15.01.2022 Imagination and creativity can change the world!

14.01.2022 Our ball run keeps our Littleheroes interested for ages. This tests their visual accuracy and problem solving skills in this scientific, cause and effect experience.

14.01.2022 Our Littleheroes love story time and they love to read so much that they continue to read even after they are asleep!!

12.01.2022 A true hero isnt measured by the size of his strength, but by the size of his heart. Zeus

11.01.2022 Today we combined a playgroup with a fantastic new experience. Camping and a fire pit. The children were so excited, they helped to build the fire with scrunching the paper, loading it with sticks and then they enjoyed toasting marshmallows and cooking and eating an Aussie damper. What a great learning opportunity for the children to have.

11.01.2022 Chris and I would like to share an Acknowledgment of Country with you all and I will post the one from our new Provider, Inspired FDC, shortly. We are so happy to be working with this scheme. We love their Philosophy and trust their knowledge of current developments in Child Care. We welcome all our families to this new, innovative and exciting time. In the meantime I would like to share a poem that acknowledges our Awabakal Land, and I regard it as a Welcome to Country for... our children. With the children, actions are self explanatory: I raise my hands Up to the sky That covers the Awabakal Land I place my hands Upon the earth Which is the Awabakal Land I place my hands Upon my heart In love for the Awabakal Land

08.01.2022 We celebrated A.N.Z.A.C. Day this week, in age appropriate ways. Our brave soldiers from Australia and New Zealand kept us safe when other countries were being unkind and trying to hurt us. We use poppies in Australia to celebrate that we will always be The Australia that we love and no one will take that away from us. The children engaged beautifully in the quite structured art/ craft activities with a common sense of our connectedness as Aussies and Kiwis, to join us all ...together for this special day. We cant go to Dawn Services or watch the marches on telly this year... but we can still be very, very proud of the brave men and women that make Australia and New Zealand the countries that we cherish.

08.01.2022 Some genteel balloon painting soon turned into making tracks for, Were Going On A Bear Hunt. Dont you just love the logic that imaginative little minds conjure up?

07.01.2022 Happy Mummys day to all! We all helped make your pressy and enjoyed getting our hands dirty doing it! Ha ha

04.01.2022 From our hearts to yours, we wish you a lovely Mothers Day, full of love, hugs, kisses, smiles and giggles. These are the hearts our Littleheroes helped make for their mummies, filled with an Oncidium Spatulartum - commonly known as the Dancing Lady

04.01.2022 What started off as messy play quickly turned into creative play, with imaginative play thrown in, all whilst learning through play.

01.01.2022 And so our dirt patch was born. Playing outdoors grows resilience, self-confidence, initiative, creativity and more. It encourages the joy of movement; it nurtures wild imaginations, experimentation, friendships, social connections and behaviour.
