11.01.2022 Making life long friend at Little Mounties Preschool! It’s amazing how compassionate and caring children can be. The preschoolers take the toddlers under their wing during outdoor play time and the toddlers look out for the infants!

10.01.2022 Exactly two years ago, on the 11th of March 2019, I sat an Approved Provider exam for an industry I knew very little about, based on the premise that I had a passion for Education and I knew that quality education started with Early Learning. Then in September 2019, I purchased a run down service with a terrible reputation that had only 4 children enrolled. This service was about to be shut down due to non- compliance. Today on the 11th of March, 2021, I’m proud to say tha...t we received a meeting rating from the department of Education. We turned it around! From 100% non-compliance to 100% compliance. From a service with a terrible reputation to one of few services in the area that has a meeting rating! From a service that had 4 children enrolled to one that has a waiting list most days of the week! I would like to thank my team, the amazing educators who made this happen! Without you it wouldn’t have been possible! I’d also like to thank our lovely families who trusted us, despite the reputation. You gave us an opportunity to prove ourselves and I’m happy to let you know that we haven’t let you down! Thank you!

10.01.2022 Today we've been exploring colour, pattern, texture, light and shadow in nature with our 'Mari doll'. Quick and easy to prepare and by sticking a photo of your ...child's face on the picture the activity is so much more meaningful and purposeful to your child. We've had a lot fun with this and it has prompted much discussion. Let me know if you have a go at home ***EDITED TO ADD*** Wow wow wow, we are absolutely blown away with the response to this post. Welcome to all of those new to Børn of the Forest, we're so glad you've found us and we will endeavour to help you and your little people stay connected with nature through play and exploration. Since we were put into lockdown because of the COVID-19 pandemic, we've been unable to operate our usual sessions. 04.01.2022 For science week the educators prepared an ice excavation activity, freezing toys in a container of water. It was our mission to rescue the toys from the ice. To defrost our ice we used salt, warm water and a spoon for digging!
