25.01.2022 On 26 November 2019, we celebrated the graduation ceremony of our Wombats (preschooler)... It's both feelings of excitement (to see them ready for their Big School) and sadness to say goodbye to our Wombats as they all will be missed dearly. Also, we would like to thanks all our family member for joining us and making our day special.



24.01.2022 Growing together

24.01.2022 Little Stars in Toongabbie had Science Incursion.... During the event children took part in different activity related to science and main focus was learning about three forms of water (solid, liquid, and gas). Children did different experiment to learn about these forms, they also did hands on experiment on volcano eruption, and seed germination. Through the incursion children were able to understand the basis concept of science, different experiment help them to understand the experiment process and also promoted scientific thinking by encouraging them to observe and ask question. Children had lots of fun and learning throughout the incursion.

23.01.2022 The great gift of Easter is hope" - Basil Hume Our spirits are high at Little stars through these tough times. With a lot of hope and love, our Children and staff have put together a small celebration to ring in Easter-2020. Children got to meet Easter bunny, as he delivered chocolates, had some yummy hot cross buns and played games in their rooms. Here's wishing everyone a very happy Easter. Stay home! Stay safe! ... Note: All activities were done with extra precautions and with children's safety in mind



23.01.2022 Wombats room sowing the seedlings they have grown and nurtured over the last few weeks. They will also undergo regular gardening sessions, till its time for harvest. These plants can be found in our new gardening space. Awaiting to see the fruits of their labour

17.01.2022 Happy Diwali to the Little Star Families.... Diwali is the festival of light, and victory of good over evil.... lots of places in the world celebrate Diwali with lots of fun and enthusiasm..... at Little Star we tried doing the same by celebrating the event and being part of a multicultural environment..... Children had fun celebrating Diwali by dressing up, making Diyas (clay lantern), a rangoli (colourful art on the floor), sharing sweet & savoury food made by them & educators and also singing and dancing to Bollywood songs whilst having fun.... once again Happy Diwali from Little Stars team.



16.01.2022 Today children at Little Stars did some gardening with their educator, they planted watermelon, rockmelon, pumpkin and eggplants...it is amazing to see our little toddlers showing interest and enthusiasm for gardening....caring for the plants

16.01.2022 Our new framed sandpit offers a wide array of activities within. This includes digging, building and plenty more! The wooden outline and step surrounding the sand gives the children an opportunity to practice their climbing skills. The larger space allows more children to enjoy the sandpit simultaneously.

13.01.2022 Halloween Celebration at Little Stars.... Children had fun dressing up in their spooky costume, walking ramp with friends and educators, dancing and going for trick or treat to different rooms. We take this opportunity as part of learning and fun time for our children and this year our children showed more acceptance to the Halloween and enjoyed the celebration.

10.01.2022 Many thanks to all the families, siblings and friends who joined us for our Christmas party and making it a memorable one for the kids and educators. Christmas blessings to all.

09.01.2022 Children and educators had fun celebrating Halloween at Little Star... Halloween Activities started with Ramp walk where our little one showed their costume. They also visited other rooms for trick and treat..... and continued with Halloween activities and story time.

08.01.2022 The children had a wonderful day today celebrating Diwali. They got to dress up, eat some delicious sweets and play many cultural themed games! Happy Diwali everyone!

06.01.2022 Happy Mother's Day to all our Lovely mums .... Here at Little stars we celebrated Mother's Day by organising self-service morning-tea followed with some photo-shoot with families. Children presented mum with hand made card and Tulasi plant (Basil) in the pot created with milk carton. Note: Social distancing and families and children safety was our priority at all times.

06.01.2022 Children had fun participating in Water Safety talk by Puddle Duck Swimming Academy where children at Little Stars expanded their knownledge about water safety, and how to behave safely around water?

05.01.2022 Children at Little Star........ attended Dental talk with Dr Sangeetha Manoharan where they gained information about looking after their teeth and different way to brush and also received a goody bag to take home with them.

03.01.2022 National Reconciliation Week (NRW) is a time when we learned about shared histories, cultures, and achievements, and to explore how each of us can contribute to achieving reconciliation in Australia. To celebrate this here at Little Stars we organised a pretend campfire followed by Dreamtime Story and some information about the First people of Australia.

02.01.2022 In 2020 Reconciliation Australia marks twenty years of shaping Australias journey towards a more just, equitable and reconciled nation. At Little Star, our children enjoyed taking part in the yarning circle with their educators and had fun and learning whilst listening to Dreamtime Story and Singing some traditional lullaby in Yorta Yorta, the language of one of the Aboriginal Communities. Children also participated in different activities of painting, making flags, art & craft with natural material to build a connection with the culture of Aboriginal and Torres Strait islanders.

02.01.2022 Giving is not just about donation but its about making a difference (by Kathy Calvin). Little Star team tried to make this difference by organising an Art Exhibition for the families, of the Artwork done by childrens in Little Stars. Our event lasted for a week and all our families participated in the activity by admiring and purchasing these artworks of their children. We are very excited to announce that after selling these artworks we collected $310.60 which will be donated to Westmead Childrens Hospital. We are thankful to all our families and educators for being an active participant and getting together for good cause.

We even have running water for the sink! and also to the many other parents for supplying pots and pans to make the experience even more life like.
