23.01.2022 Today we say goodbye to our American friend Abby Gustaitis @atown1022 . I honestly don’t think I have ever trained a more dedicated athlete. Abby didn’t miss 1 session, 1 set or even 1 rep for that matter. In 4 weeks since arriving Abby has lost about 6kg, increased her squat by 17.5kg, and took 9 seconds off her 1.2km time by living and breathing the opportunity to train as a full-time athlete. After representing USA at the 15s World Cup earlier this year hopefully we will see Abby representing @usasevensrugby on the world circuit in the near future. There are so many mechanical principles on display is this video by @rickylundell which apply to any form of tackle in any code of football which will assist you in controlling your opponent including: level changing shooting hip position posture... use of the head eye tracking finishing position of head and body. ... This technique is known as ‘turning the corner’ and can be very useful for scenarios where smaller players have to tackle bigger players on the footy field.
