It is an excellent opportunity for farmers, families and rural communities to grab a sausage sandwich, catch up with friends and neighbours and find out what support is available during drought and tough times. Completed application forms are to be emailed to [email protected] or posted to PO Box 152 Quirindi NSW 2343, to be received by the closing date Tuesday 1 December. An organisation applying for community funding from Council must conduct the event or project within the Shire, be a not-for-profit entity, or have the project auspiced by a not-for-profit entity. The organisation must hold current and relevant public liability insurance to the value of $20 million, commence the activity or project in the financial year in which the funding is being sought, demonstrate environmental, social and economic benefits to the Shire and be financially viable.
