25.01.2022 Save our soil, create a healthier planet, grow nutrient dense food, build community, eliminate chemicals in our waterways, buy from farmers markets, start a worm farm, get educated and live healthy when you farm and garden with Compost. It all starts with our soil! It’s no longer a choice, it’s essential to the regeneration of the planet.

25.01.2022 Today I had the privileged of meeting this amazing human and passionate gardener Janene from Love to grow_ It’s always refreshing to sit and chat with like minded gardeners who understand soil structure, and are building good biology into their gardens for the future. 24.01.2022 I was checking the pH value of our compost while bagging today because I know that happy soil makes happy gardeners. Did you know Soil pH value indicates it’s acidity or alkalinity on a scale of 1 (extremely acidic) to 14 (very alkaline). ... Most plants thrive in soil with neutral pH levels (6.5-7.5) and while compost is only one component of a healthy garden it’s always worth using a test kit to check your soil regularly & make necessary adjustments. Happy Gardening.

22.01.2022 I’ve been playing in compost all day checking pH and moisture levels and I couldn’t be happier

19.01.2022 With all this beautiful rain about it seems everyone has gone mulching mad. My pick for mulch is always silage. That’s right! While silage is very nutritious for cattle, if made well also makes amazing mulch. silage is whole plant and leaf nutrients are maintained in plant... all seeds are sterilised dust free mulch stays in place because of the moisture content once broken down creates a new layer of rich organic microbial matter in our soil Happy Mulching!

19.01.2022 COMPOSTING - it’s a labour of love over sixteen weeks and nothing makes me happier than watching these big beautiful piles of raw products, normally destined for land fill come to life I’m all in to provide you the best organic compost for our beautiful Northern Rivers.

15.01.2022 Well it’s not every day a beautiful 1947 Bentley cruises in to the farm to collect compost. This really made my week!

15.01.2022 When you build a 1600m2 state of the art grow tunnel, only the best compost will do.

14.01.2022 As promised we have all the specifications of the watering system that Les designed and built in his vegetable patch I think you’ll agree it’s brilliant and we are all a little envious.

14.01.2022 Our little Bre who made me a Dad in 1991 Being a Dad to our five is by far the best job in the world, even better than making compost Happy Fathers Day to all the Dads.

13.01.2022 We are doing a few trials and pioneering again on our composting processes, because I believe there is still much to learn. This is Mycelium, which plants love. We don’t usually see it until the compost is cool and finished and if you are a user of our compost have probably seen it appearing in your garden. Plants love Mycelium because it brings the fungi to bacteria ratio to the point that plants love, enabling them to thrive. However today we spied it in small amounts in a very new trial row with the addition of #biodynamics. I can’t tell you all of our secrets but I can tell you I’m excited.

13.01.2022 As we wind up 2020, we say Thankyou to all of our stockiest and customers for your wonderful support in a very challenging year. We have been so encouraged by your messages, comments, and photos of your gardens. See you all next year. It’s going to be a ripper!

10.01.2022 Just now. The creator is an artist.

09.01.2022 We took advantage of the cooler temperatures over the weekend and planted our larger crops, mostly pumpkin and melons. After years of digging and digging our heavy black soil, we now only use the no dig method and it’s been a game changer. So simple and easy anyone can plant a garden in just a few hours! line garden bed with a good layer of newspaper or cardboard & dampen down top with approximately 5 inches of good quality compost and level... plant seeds and seedlings and water well happy gardening but don’t forget to keep watering! The best part is that next season the soil microbiology in this patch will be so rich we will just top with a fresh layer of compost and plant again never disturbing the layers of organic matter

07.01.2022 There is nothing quite like the feeling of growing and harvesting your own beautiful produce. One thing we have observed during Covid is the return to growing your own food and a greater awareness of how our food is produced and where it originates from. We have grown a lot of firsts ourselves this year but harvesting our own garlic recently was just amazing ... We would love to hear what you all grew for the first time this year in your garden.

05.01.2022 Mulch is a hot topic around gardeners but I want to give you a free tip. In my opinion the best mulch to use is silage.
