25.01.2022 Frank "sniff, sniff, sniffing" his surrounds. It's a Bloodhound thing! Did you know Bloodhounds are an ancient breed, tracing back to the 7th century where they... were bred by Hubert, a French Monk. They have the best noses of all the hounds with their sense of smell 3 times more powerful than most dogs, thus they excel in tracking! If you've ever met a Bloodhound, their usual greeting is nose first, for as long as it takes before they happily accept you as their friend. While we don't know a lot about Frank yet, having just recently joined us, we do know he's a pretty typical Bloodhound who follows his nose, wherever he goes! Hounds aren't for everyone, if you can't deal with a bit of drool, and a dog who likes to think for itself, but for those who understand and love the hound breeds, we'd love to hear from you. 25.01.2022 Our Status re Covid-19 Hey Living Image friends, I am wishing to let you know that due to the COVID-19 crisis we will no longer be accepting face to face meetings and portraits at this time, sadly We are truly devastated to bring you this news, however, this crisis is in a critical period and seriously dangerous, so its paramount for all to be safe and healthy! Were Open for Business - Zoom Meetings We will continue creating artwork throughout this period as this ...is our specialty therefore I will be available via Zoom to conduct portrait reveals for those wish to order more or for those people that missed out in the past, please feel free to shoot me an email or send a text. Current Orders All current artwork orders are still in progress, please expect delays due to the crisis, however once complete I will personally contact everyone to organise a non-contact delivery. Hibernation We will be placing the portrait side of our business into hibernation for now. His human ...Anna writes: "I adopted Bobo in September last year. He was very skittish at first. Didn’t like humans or other dogs. With a lot of love. Good diet and lots of training he has become the best companion. We go to the dog beach together every other weekend. He has an array of outfits for the never ending change of climate in Melbourne. He is happy. Is learning tricks. Has put on some weight! And is the best thing in 2020 that happened to me." 22.01.2022 Dear friends, following the latest reports of sightings at sea, the time has come to accept and to make space in our hearts for our little dog, so that she may ...continue to live and play there from now on. It is a time, above all, to give thanks for the affection and support you have given us. So many people rallied to look for little Pallina, from the Port Authority to the Police, from local associations for animal protection to beach lifeguards So many friends, but also so many strangers showed affection, understanding and sensitivity by making themselves available and supporting us in our search, both in person and over all social media by sharing our plea. A special thank you to Elisabetta, Valeria, Renzo and the crew of our boat, with whom we have incessantly combed the coasts for the last forty-eight hours, where the sea took away our little travel companion. Katarina (or Pallina, as everyone called her) lived free, lived by our sides with her grace and obvious fragility, gifting us with lots of affection and her warm, quiet, intelligent presence. However, we never imagined we would lose her so soon Thank you once again to all of you, and thank-you to our great little whippet, whose life (as is every dog’s, after all) was an expression and a model of unconditional love. He did have some sp...ecific needs and we have found him the perfect carer who has the set up for all of these! We're so glad we could be here for Connor when he needed us. While he does have a condition that will be terminal, right now he still has a lovely life to live xx

However Our commitment to your health and safety is paramount.... First and foremost - Living Image Photography values the health and wellbeing of all our customers and staff. With the recent health alerts of Coronavirus (COVID-19), we have placed additional measures so we can continue to protect the health and safety of you, and ourselves here at the studio. Feeling Unwell? In order to keep everyone safe and healthy, we request that all clients who are experiencing flu-like symptoms to kindly reschedule your appointment. If you have returned from overseas please don't attend the studio until you have self isolated for 14 days as advised by the Victorian State Government. Personal Hygiene Our bathroom has hand sanitiser and soap, so we encourage everyone to use these on entering our studio and before leaving. Studio Procedures Social distancing: you will receive plenty of warm smiles for you and special pats for your dog, however (sadly) we will refrain from hand shakes and cuddles at this time. We have plenty of room in our studio and rooms for safe distancing. Studio Hygiene: Please be assured that Vanessa and myself are taking extra precautions to maintain a high standard of cleanliness and hygiene in the studio. Sanitising handles, floors, bench-tops, lounges before and after all client visits. Also, when visiting - please keep dog leads and items as clean as possible with sanitising wipes or a hot wash. Our Prime Minister today announced it will take 6 months before we return to normal, I believe with our best practices we can safety navigate through this challenge and even come out of this a better community because of it! As we all know - Life is short, and very much believe in capturing our loved ones beauty now (safety of course) So we encourage you to still consider having portraits during this time, its fun and a wonderful experience, this would also help supporting us too

03.01.2022 The Australian War Memorial now has a memorial dedicated to Military Working Dogs. The Memorial 'Circling into sleep' by artist Steven Holland, signifies a dog'...s final steps, walking in a circular pattern before laying down to sleep. Underneath the paw prints, the ashes of Military Working Dog 426, Aussie are interred. EDD Aussie served in the Solomon Islands, Melbourne Commonwealth Games and Afghanistan. The memorial is dedicated to the memory of all the dogs who, like Aussie, have served alongside our military personnel. All of these dogs are heroes, laying their lives on the line to save others in both peace and wartime. Lest we forget.

02.01.2022 An update on Sophie (was Daisy): "Just thought I'd drop you a line to let you know how things are going with Daisy, who I adopted on 29th Dec 2020. Firstly, I r...enamed her - her new name is Sophie, and she already responds to this when I call her! We left Melbourne straight after leaving you at Glen Iris, and apart from Sophie vomiting on and off all the way to Orbost, it wasn't a bad trip. She's coping with shorter trips now without throwing up and we've driven to the river a few times now without incident! Fingers crossed she will grow out of it. She is such a lovely girl and we are bonding really well together. She's very affectionate and loves her new toys. She is learning not to jump up at people, and sits most of the time when told! She's also easy to walk on the lead and seems really responsive to the training so far. With the recent fires encroaching on Orbost, Sophie and I ended up evacuating to Bairnsdale Relief Centre, where we spent the next 5 nights. Initially, Sophie was quite wary of other people, but by the time we left, she was so good with strangers and more than happy to be patted by anyone! On the second day, we had our photo taken by the media. I've attached a copy for you Thanking you for my new best friend" Thank you for the lovely update Mandy. We're so glad you and Sophie are safe after what must have been an incredibly scary time. Thank you for being there for one another.
