25.01.2022 Lately we have been on the road quite a bit live streaming funerals around the north central part of Victoria. This photo was taken from a hill I have driven past many times in the last couple of months. Today after work I decided it was time to stop for a short walk up the hill.

24.01.2022 Want to know a little bit about getting a good live stream happening? Then have a look at this video. We start explaining what you need from a basic live stream and explore some of the options for more technical options. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZycY3eYilhg

24.01.2022 Saturday we had some time to go check out the action of the practice at the Vic downhill serie event at barjarg. Here is some very quick clips of a couple of features: coffin rock and the old start. Which line would you take?

24.01.2022 Friday last week was a busy day with 5 live stream of funerals. The morning had 3 at the same time followed by another 2 in the afternoon. Here is a screen shot of our choice of the Teradek Core platform, our choice for reliable bonded video streaming and Vimeo the platform were use as a CDN (content delivery network).

22.01.2022 Due to the current restrictions, we have had the privilege of connecting family and friends through live streaming for important moments such as funerals. #Livingitlive #sonyz90 #atomos #shogun7 #teradek #vidiugo #vimeo

21.01.2022 The Australian 3 days orienteering carnival kicks off today with a sprint relay. Follow live results and live audio here. http://livingitlive.com.au/live-centre/

21.01.2022 So Blackmagic (Australia company) have once again released a camera that pushes the limits. Why release a 8K camera when you can release a 12K camera? Need help with an upcoming A/V install feel free to have a chat with us. We would love to help.

21.01.2022 The Easter2019 Western Australia carnival is now over. It was a great week of providing results screen, radio controls and helping out with some commentary. Now its time for some spectating of my own. Watching one of the biggest orienteering relays in the world - Tiomila - not much sleep tonight. :/. Then we will make our way back home slowly taking the scenic way on the drive.

19.01.2022 What Living it Live up to?

19.01.2022 The rain cleared and racing has been underway for a while now at the Vic downhill series race at Mt baw baw. Results can be found here. http://livingitlive.com.au/eventresults/

17.01.2022 The Mens and Womens Oceania Long distance courses had a few similar long legs that produced a number of different route choices/ Here is a few comparisons. Interestingly the fastest route is different between the men and women on some legs.

17.01.2022 Its been a busy weekend at the Bike Buller festival - 5 races across the 2 days. Todays main race the Dharco gravity enduro has over 350 entries. Results can be found here. http://livingitlive.com.au/eventresults/

16.01.2022 This week we have had another trip up into the Mallee. To break up the drive I stopped to take a couple of photos of more silo art. These 2 are from Nullawil and Sea Lake.

15.01.2022 Over the past weekend we had GPS trackers up at Yamba on the NSW coast for the this year edition of GeoQuest 2019. The race was won by last years Adventure 1 series champions, Thought Sports, but did they win every leg? To find out right click on the map where you want to Mass start and then watch the replay. To get it back to normal just right click and select reset offsets.

15.01.2022 So this year was our third Hattah Desert Race that we have attended. The first year the weather was cold but great. Last year the wind and dust made it a tough weekend. And finally, yesterday turned out to be very wet. The race was cut short for safety reasons but our camera operators definitely appreciated the early finish as they were absolutely drenched.

15.01.2022 And thats a wrap! A very tiring, wet and rewarding weekend live-streaming the Hattah Desert Race! Thanks for having us, and thank you team for your commitment, talent and hard work! Till next year!

14.01.2022 Bit of a different post to the usual event posts. One thing I love about video products is how much good equipment comes out of Australian companies. This included companies like Blackmagic Design, vMix, BirdDog, Decimator Design, Atomos, Miller Tripods. It also included RDE Microphones who has just announced a ripper of an on camera mic which has so so many features!! I know where ill be looking when I need a new microphone.

14.01.2022 Second last day of Oceania Orienteering Carnival! All eyes on the big screen

14.01.2022 During last week we were out on Mt Stirling running a Rogaine for a school. The week started with a lovely day of sunshine while putting the markers out. Then it turned a little colder to some more snow.

13.01.2022 A few days ago after streaming a couple of funerals in Cohuna I stopped off at another hill, Mt Hope, for a short walk. It was a lovely afternoon out.

12.01.2022 The main race of the Alpine Quest by Adventure Junkie has started this morning. The journey for the full distance starts at Hinnomunjie bridge on the Mitta Mitta River in the Omeo valley and makes its way back to Falls Creek Resort. The event is so remote that there is barely any phone reception so our normal trackers couldnt be used. So we now have the ability to use Spot tracking devices. They are great and work anywhere but their limitation is their tracking interval. This race is being tracked at 5min intervals so the tracking will appear different to normal. GPS tracking for the first round of the Adventure 1 can be found at the link below.

10.01.2022 Working on a special video talking about live streaming basics for those of you that are looking to push into that at the moment. Keep an eye out on our YouTube channel. https://m.youtube.com/channel/UCZQY56-jCfF0H5iTuIZv5-w

10.01.2022 Sitting at home watching the GPS tracking for the Alpine Quest adventure race I was very interested in one particular leg. Marker 25 had two viable options: Go wide to the north along a track and hill tops the whole way, or go straight down a track for 1/3 and off track up a river for 2/3rds. What would be quickest? Comment your guess and watch the video to find out. Full tracking replay avalible here - https://www.tulospalvelu.fi/gps/20190125aq/?v=m3 Noter: Alpine Ave...ngers (AA) were the only team to complete this section in the day time. Thunderbolt most likely did most of this leg in the day time too but their tracker unfortunately wasnt transmitting during this leg. Adventure Junkie Adventure 1 #livegpstracking

09.01.2022 Here is a quick look at the live production van that is being used to produce the live video for the Oceania orienteering carnival. The streams a being produced with a core crew of a few people and a number of volunteer operators on cameras and a few other jobs. Its a massive team effort and couldnt be done without the help of the Code Cadets. #livingitlive #vmix #teradek #vidiugo #blackmagic #fibre #fsfibre #skaarhoj #gpsseuranta #livegps #orienteering #ndi #ndidecode #birddog

09.01.2022 Every time I see a post like this we get a little bit excited and wonder what is coming!! Need any Blackmagic equipment? Get in contact with use and we will sort you out.

05.01.2022 Today the Adventure 1 series kicks off in Queensland with the Rogue Adventure 24 hour race. This race is different to most adventure races as it is a rogaine style race. Unfortunately due to restrictions many of the top teams including Thought Sports cant be there but Im sure the QLD teams will put in some good racing. Live gps can be viewed here. http://www.tulospalvelu.fi/gps/20200829rogueraid/ The tracking has been set up to calculate the rogaine points off the gps t...racking. 03.01.2022 Todays Oceania Long distance had a few big long legs. This one being the longest in the M21E class. Have a look at the comparisons of which way was quickest. No surprises Martin Dent did the fastest km rate but Will Gardner Took out the leg by travelling 1.3km less than some of the competition.

02.01.2022 As the restrictions continue, we regularly have the privilege of helping connect family and friends at funerals. Over the weekend we had the pleasure of taking a trip up into the Mallee passing some of the sights along the silo art trail. As well as a short detour for a walk up Mt Korong for the sunset on the way home.

02.01.2022 This weekend we are at the Hattah Desert Race live streaming the event. Yesterday was a busy day of action, here is a short clip of one of the crashes we caught at the end of the Big Wheels race yesterday. I think this one would have hurt a bit. Today we stream the main seniors race. Head to hattahdesertrace.com.au to watch.

01.01.2022 Here is the long leg for W21E course from yesterdays Oceania Long distance. Not quite as long as the Mens leg but the still had a good spread of route choices with pretty even times.
