23.01.2022 We are advising that Livingstone Christian College is open again today, 24 March 2021. With rain easing overnight, we have seen the flash flooding on our ovals and the Junior Carpark mostly subside. Unfortunately, the Junior Carpark will remain closed this morning as the road surface requires cleaning, however this will be open for pick-up this afternoon. Both ovals will remain closed for all of today. Again, we are thankful for your patience as we navigate drop-off and pic...k-up times. MPC Drop Zone will be open as usual. Our ELC parking will be strictly for these families. The Administration carpark will be one-way, entering through Gate 2 (off the roundabout) and exiting through Gate 1. Please make this drop-off as quick as possible to allow for traffic to continue to flow. We will have additional staff assisting in these areas. If your family are unable to travel to school this morning due to the wet weather and/or flash flooding, please follow the standard absences procedure to notify us of this. Pick-up this afternoon will return to our usual process, as the Junior Carpark will be reopened. All students will be able to be collected at 3:05pm. If you are parking and walking to your child’s class, please be conscious of wet ground, mud and puddles, particularly around the Primary Oval. We look forward to bright smiles today as School Photo Day takes place in the MPC! Please see the information that was previously emailed to you for all the details to ensure your child is correctly dressed and ready for their photo today. There will be no further official updates regarding this weather event unless the situation changes.

19.01.2022 PRIMARY CROSS COUNTRY UPDATE Due to the high chance of rain tomorrow, our Primary Cross Country will not go ahead as planned. It is unusual for us to call an event cancellation this early but due to the nature of this year we felt it wise to prepare everyone for the changes that will take place tomorrow.... Students aged 10 years, 11 years and 12 years will have the option to run their race in the morning with parent permission. They MUST: be in 100% good health, no sign of being unwell in any form, including injuries bring a towel and fresh change of uniform including warm jumper, underwear, clean dry socks and shoes to change into after the race and have parent permission (complete and return permission slip emailed to Primary families this afternoon) Although all other students will remain in their classroom, they have the option to wear house colours or their sports uniform. Please note a full Cross Country event will not be held at a later date this year. Thank you for your understanding with this.

06.01.2022 10/10 EFFORT FROM CROSS COUNTRY RUNNERS Undismayed by falling rain, some of daring students from the older year levels in Primary raced on in their Cross Country Carnival. This small group of dedicated students ran the course well, navigating the wet grass and puddles of mud with great spirit. Well done to everyone who had a go and competed! The wellbeing of students who raced through the rain was important to us. All students who competed were fully healthy prior to racing, had a full change of warm clothes after racing and had specific parent permission to participate.
06.01.2022 Please read the following advice for pick-up this afternoon, Tuesday 23 March 2021. Today’s approach for pick-up will be similar to yesterday, with the main change being that we request that you display your family name on your car dashboard. Pick-up of Primary students (including Year 4 Camp students) will commence from 2:30pm from the MPC Drop Zone. No Primary students will be picked up from classrooms or the Primary Undercover Area. There is no need to hop out of your car ...and sign your child out. Staff will direct children outside, to your car when you arrive. This zone is strictly a no parking zone. Primary pick-up commencing at 2:30pm is optional for parents; there is no need to rush at this time. We are only seeking to reduce congestion at 3:05pm. Primary Bus and OSHC students will be guided by staff as normal at the end of the school day. Musical rehearsal is proceeding as scheduled after school. Secondary students can be picked up from the MPC Drop Zone from 3:05pm onwards. If you are collecting a Secondary student or both Primary and Secondary students, please do not come before 3:05pm. You will not be able to stop and wait in the MPC Drop Zone for your child before the end of the school day. The Administration carpark will be for ELC parents only. This will be one way traffic only, entering through Gate 2 (off the roundabout) and exiting through Gate 1. Parking in this area will be for a maximum of 10 minutes to help keep traffic moving. DISPLAY FAMILY NAMES ON CAR DASHBOARD To assist our staff in ushering your children to your vehicle as quickly as possible, please display your family name and the first names of your children on your car dashboard. Please make the text as large and bold as possible so it is easy to read. If you experience difficulty accessing the school at pick-up time this afternoon due to flash flooding or road conditions, please contact Reception to alert us so that suitable arrangements can be made. Thank you for patience during pick-up this afternoon. Please continue to drive safely and slowly in our carparks and school zone.
