25.01.2022 Liberal Democrats National President Andrew Cooper on the ABC Drum speaking about CPAC. Great points made.

25.01.2022 The Chinese ramp up to take Hong Kong back under Communist rule. This will be a piece of the One Belt One Road system China is slowly implementing around the globe. I have significant issues with this move because 1) It is the imposition of government rule over the individual and all rights individuals must enjoy 2) It is imposing the Chinese trade philosophy over a country Australia and many other countries have an FTA 3) As a Libertarian I consider this is using law enforcement agencies and it appears the military to oppress the general public. 4) Hong Kong is a major holder of private wealth therefore this action by China will impair this wealth

25.01.2022 Been looking at the database and it looks like 70% of all members are under 40 years of age. Potential catch phrase for the party. Liberal Democrats the party for Australia's next generation. Thoughts

23.01.2022 The relevant services are advising that the severe fire danger will deepen today and tomorrow. Stay safe everyone especially those near state owned land because this is where the biggest threat is from. Note the language being used in the description of the fire in the Gold Coast hinterland. They are saying the fire cannot be controlled as it is. Inaccessible areas. The reality is the fire is in state owned land that has been mismanaged for over 30 years resulting in massive fuel loads, including invasive noxious vegetation, lack of roads and no other infrastructure at all. It is time we called out government at all levels and of both persuasions as the environmental vandals they are. Also time to call out the Greens because it is their cancerous policies that are putting private property and lives in danger.

20.01.2022 So much media over the alcohol review yet absolutely no interest in discussing vaping. Just shows both sides of politics are more interested in the tax they reap from alcohol and tobacco rather than showing interest in the health of Australians.

19.01.2022 The most recent report on fossil fuel emissions has to be called out for what it is. A biased invalid heap of rubbish. Firstly to measure emissions on a per capita basis is dumb because the planet is impacted by volume not allocated percentages therefore it should only be measured by tonnes produced per country. Secondly, to measure our coal exports then ignore the Middle Eastern fuel and oil exports is evidence of the bias because coal emits CO2 while fuel and oil emits Carb...on Monoxide and other more dangerous gases. Thirdly, to say it is OK for China to power its economy with coal but not Australia because Australia exports its coal to China and should export other fuel option is completely biased yet again. What other option. China manufacturers are lower cost than us therefore the only options are gas or uranium. Gas we need ourselves. Uranium mining and exporting is banned by most states. Yes Australia does not have an energy or climate change policy because these types of reports are so biased they start with a narrow answer then build a set of invalid data to support this biased paradigm. The Liberal Democrats are the only party that has a valid energy and climate change policy

19.01.2022 This video of the Atkinson Dam was taken on Monday 30th September to highlight another example of government asset mismanagement. Why are drying water storages not being desilted to preserve the volume held. This dam has probably lost up to 30% of its storage capacity.

18.01.2022 Some people may have heard about the Gamba Grass issue in the Northern Territory and how all National Parks are completely infested with it. To inform people there are 32 Weeds of National Significance (WONS) and the vast volume of all of these plus others are left completely uncontrolled in state owned and operated land. The vast majority of this land is at the top of water sheds. The federal and state governments have washed their hands on the issue therefore these invasive... noxious weeds have infested local council areas and private property. The federal and state governments have push the responsibility for the control of the WONS onto the local councils and the private land holder. Unless the federal and state governments own up to their responsibilities in this area we can only call them out as being environmental vandals guilty of criminal negligence of property rights and land management. The Queensland Liberal Democrats wrote to the Queensland government in January and copied in 10 federal and state government elected representatives on both sides of politics. Not one politician has responded. Lantana is one we highlighted in the letter which has infested 14 million hectares and is spreading at around 3 million hectares per year. To eradicate Lantana would cost 40 billion Prickly Acacia is another WONS that has infested some 26 million hectares and spreading at around 2 million hectares a year. The Liberal Democrats see this environmental vandalism caused by stupid green policies as a priority issue to be addressed and have the policy platform to provide a solution.

16.01.2022 In December I wrote an article about multi purpose infrastructure corridor networks across Australia. To add onto this article I would like to recommend six locations for large nuclear power stations in Queensland to serve the State, NT and northern NSW. Charters Towers Mt Isa Blackwater... Longreach Miles Charleville Medical nuclear plants in Townsville and Toowoomba. This aligns with the infrastructure corridors and can facilitate regional development along with being serviced by large ocean based desalination plants piping water along these corridors Time for Australian politicians to be visionary and brave.

13.01.2022 Day two with Dave, Corbyn and Lloyd volunteering

11.01.2022 The last month has clearly demonstrated the Extinction Rebellion is made up of ill-informed Socialist sheeple. The bloke who suspended himself under the story bridge today lost his wife's ashes in the recent bushfire that destroyed Binna Burra. Does he not realise the largest issue with that fire was the mismanagement of state owned and operated land causing high fuel loads that could not be controlled. The current fires in Queensland and northern NSW have gotten out of contr...ol while in national parks. Yes state owned and operated land that is infested with invasive vegetation and possessing extremely high fuel loads. This is not a climate emergency. It is state government land mismanagement. Time to speak the truth

11.01.2022 Happy fathers day to all the dads out there. Hope you have been spoiledHappy fathers day to all the dads out there. Hope you have been spoiled

10.01.2022 Wilkie and Bandt have teamed up to state the Qld and NSW bushfires are caused by climate change. This is a load of lies and ignored the real problem, which is the gross mismanagement of the land state governments own and operate. This mismanagement has led to a complete destruction of water and road infrastructure in these areas. Add in the fact this mismanagement has also led to extensive infestations of invasive and noxious vegetation that is destroying the ecosystems and creating excessive fuel loads

10.01.2022 I would like to ask all members and supporters of the Liberal Democrats if they are fair dinkum. Recently I sent a request to a number of party members who are experts in the nuclear debate. I asked them to debunk 10 myths about nuclear energy. To date most have not responded and one said they had other priorities.... This screams loudly that people are actually not committed to the advancement of the party. To say I am disappointed is an understatement. If we are going to become a real political player we need active energetic people to drive us to success. Nuclear energy is the best platform for our party to succeed and win seats. Time for members to become fair dinkum

09.01.2022 Today my 24 year old son told me something that made my blood boil about the failure of our education system. My son was academically challenged yet is super smart. He did Voc Ed at school and has worked every day since finishing year 12. About two years ago he started a baking apprenticeship and is just about finished. He works from 1am in the morning until around 11am. He then changes into out door work clothes and does gardening until 5pm. He learned how to do a budget in ...Voc Ed and we have helped him refine this. He has had three overseas trips, bought and paid off two cars while saving $30k towards his first house. All because he budgets. Today he told me that bugger all people around his age and up to 30 years of age know how to budget. Plus most think the government owes them an opportunity. He was really pissed about this until I told him that bugger all people my age know how to budget and most blame the government for their inability to manage money. Personally I blame our declining education standards for this because Voc Ed kids learn how to do a budget while the vast majority of students do not. Our education system is not teaching kids resilience, responsibility or accountability. This is a simple example however a real indication of the failure.

08.01.2022 Here is some food for thought about the water debate. Dams are a good option however dams have a high evaporation rate of between 8feet and 20feet per year. Dams also silt up therefore lose volume. We never hear about these two naturally occurring things relating to dams because they take away from government being able to "manage" our behaviour through water restrictions. We also never hear of government as owners of the public water infrastructure ever desilting their asset...s as they dry back. Isn't it about time Australians are told the real story about water storage and water storage management? Isn't it about time Australia's politicians actually started to think ahead and start looking at all water options including desalination and long distance pipeline infrastructure?

05.01.2022 Last few photos. Dave with his money collection crew plus a few of the Lions Club members. We have been invited back with glowing recommendations. The Lions Club will also look for more projects for the LDP to work with them on. Paul Ryan will keep in contact with Bede.

02.01.2022 Lloyd Russell, Queensland State President Liberal Democrats "In my role as State President it is my responsibility to develop and foster a positive culture with...in the Executive by empowering all members to take ownership of their respective positions and to operate as a cohesive team for the benefit of the Liberal Democratic Party in Queensland. My vision is to elevate the party’s profile, brand and presence in the minds of the Queensland voters as the party that is all about letting people take control of their own lives. "We will achieve our vision through community engagement that clearly highlights the Liberal Democrats as a young, energetic and diverse party committed to reducing the interference of government so people, communities and Queensland can flourish. "My key focus as State President is to make the party attractive to members, supporters, voters and donors through the entire State. Regional areas have been ignored by the major political party duopoly and the Liberal Democrats understand these areas deserve to have true libertarian representation."
