25.01.2022 Bit of a quiet day at the markets so far.

24.01.2022 Installed a new cistern. Old one was just about to crap itself

24.01.2022 Been a little quiet getting on with other stuff..... but here is todays job done and dusted

24.01.2022 Roof job. Replacing all the nails, some are lifiting and allowing wind to blow water through gaps in the lifting edges.

24.01.2022 There was a sub floor hiding these tar tiles with poped and broken tiles over that. The tar tiles had multiple rows of furniture staples from previous to current overlay. Maybe someone else could but i could not in good concience lay anything over such an uneven unreliable surface. After removing as much as possible with chisels and scrapers and pincering as many staples as possible. A heavy wire brush on an angle grinder was employed to remove the remainder before sanding back to a clean level surface. Sub floor was then screwed to floor and sealer/adhesive applied as i laid the sticky backed vinyl tiles. Took far longer than it should only because of what i couldn't see at the outset. Old houses often hide many challenging endeavours and this was one........respectably overcome.

21.01.2022 Haven't given much time to my page for a while. Here's a snipet of what ive been up too.

20.01.2022 Current work in progress. Outward opening large gate for trailer access etc and smaller doorway/gate to go.

17.01.2022 Knocked up a shade house. Should be there a while.

15.01.2022 New skirting. Finishes off the room nicely

14.01.2022 Two thirds the way through building a 4 sliding door built in. Just over 2 meters tall, 800mm total depth, 3.4 meters long. Solid construction on top for further building in or storage containers.

12.01.2022 Project- create a carrier for conduit to bring power from the house to the car port and have it in keeping with the aesthetics of the surrounding theme. Channel cut in the top beam, posts mortice and tennon into top beam. Brackets dynabolted either end and recessed into beam. Post bases bolted into a yoke bolted to concrete. Merbau 120 wide decking board still to go on once cables installed. Did the trick.

10.01.2022 Old taps used just to fire it up. Few grey matter storms here and there but all in all looks good.

10.01.2022 Something different.

09.01.2022 Lovely morning here at ipswich markets. Most of the old favorites are back again and a few new additions.

09.01.2022 Back in Ipswich after 3 weeks away. Up 4 a new challenge. Bring it.

06.01.2022 Roller door instalation. Waiting on flashing to finish it off.

06.01.2022 When the retaining wall in the vegie patch decides to give up the ghost it's the perfect time for a bit of overkill. Galvanised steel H beams concreted into the sandstone bedrock topped off with concrete sleepers and black plastic backing seal. Taking bets on seeing that sucker fall down anytime soon.

05.01.2022 Wheelie bin barrow in the making. Couple of bolts and rivets, trim the top edge and a bit of automotive edging around it, paint the steel bits and presto.

05.01.2022 Another job on the go. Frame for plantation overhead track multi fold doors. There's a mouthful. Both the ceiling and wall were bowed, requiring some trimming and packing of the frame. Now ready for some mud.

03.01.2022 Little nippy today but nice and clear. My stall at Ipswich m markets.
